CSE 2021: Plan / Strategy / Daily Routine
Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.
This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.
No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

If you are saying due to COVID then I can assure you, in most of the cities, there are secretly running libraries! :D

You can give a try to online study sessions. Study with me on youtube or twitch can be helpful.
I'll second that. I used Study with me sessions on Youtube during lockdown, particularly the live ones. Helped me out of my inertia.
There are also Zoom, Google Meet sessions where you can participate and study with strangers. It's a bit more involved than watching streams on youtube.

SergioRamos,@SergioRamos may be no library near his place.. As may not be in delhi or orn or m.n..Yes library is a double edged sword.. Now whenever my mind distract to fun or even dosti nibhana type se ( being so called true friend by picking up their every call even when not related to study..)I just Google one of my close friend (from college days) name in images.. She got into ias..posted in Andhra..Then any dosti which don't contribute towards my goal.. nibhanei ka khayal man se chala Jaata Hai.. And Saath mei guilt bhi of ghosting so called few months known friends..Na library ke jaroorat padti hai.. Na he koi motivation ke.. Sirf Yeh kaafi rehta hai.. ( not jealousy.. But simple fact when we both gave our first attempt together.. She went to her home and studied strictly.. And I was too proud of clearing pt in 1st go and so called guidance karne mei.. When myself was a fresher in upsc..and lived attention of so called friends..whom I have no idea now.. Tat where are they.. )So befkuufi dubara nahi karne.. But last wala library ka case toh aur maha classic tha... Kaya gadhaa bana tha mai and all those in library by just 2 guys..Moral of the story is-1. There will always be some funny guy who will waste ur time and screw u.. No matter how much enriched u r in ur life experiences..2. padh loh jaha padh pao.. Yeh mauka shayad dubara na mileh.. And dekhte he dekhte aap half decade peeche ho jaoge.. Yah shayad aur jada bhi..Also funny things happening.. Andhra cm brought ias ips under him.. Changed all India service rules.. Shayad dopt cancel Kar deh.. Basically a changing trend which will frutify in 20 yrs time for sure..
The thumb rule I have for libraries is two fold--
1) Not sitting there the whole day. I had noticed that after 8-9 hours, my productivity hits rock bottom and I keep wallowing my time with buds and that chai pe charcha. There was a time I used to go to the library at 7 am in the morning and return by 10 pm in the night( used to come home for lunch). Now I sit there till 5 only. And surprisingly, not a very drastic difference in work completed.
2) Not more than 2 hours of my time(total) is spent somewhere else than my seat. So if I sit for 9 hours, I make it a point to be at my seat for 7 hours. No matter what.
These two things have helped me massively. If anybody else has any problems in Library, they may give it a shot.

Preparing for CSE 2021 from my home but for past 2 weeks my preparation has become steady since there is no serious aspirant I am in contact with have lost that sense of competitiveness. If anyone can suggest something!!
Having short term targets can help... You can also follow method similar to pomodoro technique, but with long duration (like 60 min or 90 mins)... Also, can listen to white noise while studying...

Wasted 2 plus hrs yest on listening old songs after 11..could hv been avoided.. That time felt nice.. Now feeling guilty of waking up late..( reason - with whom was supposed to get married from past 2 yrs - arranged marriage-found out that she is getting married -it was arrange.. So no love etc after side effects.. But as chats and meetings was from past 2 yrs.. So got close atleast from my side.. Farewell song😁😁 from me to her -from movie Dil to pagal hai..
jispe hum mar mite.. Usa pata bhi nahi.. Kya gila hum kare..woh bewafa bhi nahi.. Humne joh sun liah.. Usne kaha bhi nahi..
Today-
Science - 3 hrs
Ancient India-2 hrs
Optional - 4 hrs
Hindi-1 video lecture
People say hard work need efforts.. But it seems consistency need more efforts..its good to have friends..but when friends become distraction from goal.. Its better to keep journey alone.. Ghosting as one may call it.. Then there r days when one may miss being with friends..especially those who r not preparing for upsc.. Most of them r married... Have kids etc.. And here we r still struggling to settle down..
Will the path we chose will be having a happy ending or not.. What we can just do is as sergieramos tells is should be one with self-improvement wrt studies..as at the end of day its all about whether we gave our best.. Did we tried out best for self-improvement..
Aim high and shoot for the stars.. Even if we miss stars.. We will land on moon.. On moon topic - does anyone remember days when people in India were buying land on moon.. And from Bollywood celebrities to common man; many have bought land on moon.. Then as upsc aspirant.. One recalls outer space treaty 1967..😂
Also will try to write more on notebook than reading alone
