I really don't understand the reason behind giving options like only one, only two etc correct/incorrect in multi statement questions. What if out of three given statements only one statement is genuinely correct but someone 'assume' another statement correct and marks 'only one' option, he still marking it right despite being wrong here.

People here are not dead and quite active...just now they have taken the elite status of 'not discussing' to another pro max level.

Saaar. Please Saaar. Don't Salt the burns & wounds. Is this Pavneet Singh Alt account?

And if discussion is not good...why IPL teams spend crores on post match analysis..

Same reason all coachings do. It's business. It gets views & Ad revenue & more business.

Clown to Clown talk is not discussion. Niche Discussions happen not as loudly and not as publicly I believe.

It was my third attempt. Got 84.14 in the second one. Missed cutoff. Getting 83.4 from Vajiram Answer key. Again finding myself on the margin. CSE is brutal.

Worse thing is, I'm neither brilliant at comprehension nor at Math. However, I was enough to get myself over the line. My CSAT score was 99.5 last year, but yesterday my mind just blocked after an hour or so. I felt trapped in CSAT and I'm unable to accept it. Completely banking on comprehension to get myself over the line in Paper 2.

I know it's a bit noisy but what do you expect the cutoff to be?

Please check forumias and insights ias answer keys. My score in Vajiram key is 12-13 marks lesser than in forum and insights. I think things will turn out well for you in the GS paper :)

Can’t say anything about CSAT though, in the same boat as you. Good luck!

To all those who have given the exam yesterday, whatever you’re feeling right now is THE REALITY OF THIS EXAM. In a few days, people will make you feel that the exam was doable. They’ll make you feel that cutoff will also decline na, so why worry. You had to do only 40 right. But you know how flawed that argument is as you’ve experienced how all this actualises in the real world D Day environment.

Trust me a lot of commercial interests will make you forget this feeling that you must be having right now. Make sure you capture how you’re feeling right now and know that you might feel exactly same way the next year. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE AT ALL

UPSC prelims 2023 was extremely ARBITRARY, RANDOM and no need to even feel sad about this.

Be very very proud of your efforts, result is only an external validation that we seek from outside world and anything external won’t make you happy. Just try and stay true to yourself. If you did, Amazing because that’s all that counts.

P.S : I am not trying to demotivate anyone who wishes to give another attempt. All I am trying to tell you is PLEASE MAKE AN INFORMED CHOICE. Don’t think this won’t happen to you or this won’t happen again :(. All I am asking you to do is HAVE A PLAN for such an event.

Contemplating to approach college profs of respective subjects and get their opinion on what is a setter of his age trying to tell here source wise, subject wise. Also I feel Chairman's term is getting over in June, he wanted to send a message but he chose to do it while exiting office. Not sure if next Chairman will drive the steamroller.

Correct me, if you would.

@GaneshGaitonde you spit the truth. Thinking this attempt might be arbitrary and it might not repeat is not a safe way to approach this exam anymore, at least to me. The commission just hammered the aspirants yesterday.
I am unable to put into words how I terrible I feel right now. Every passing year it dawns on me ki isse achchha toh last year ka paper tha.

Correct me, if you would.

I will go 2 steps forward with this analysis this party came to power by leveraging social media like never before. No one matches it's IT cell except the aam aadmi party, you would agree.

This recent trend of social media savvy and influencer civil servants may have attracted attention at the highest levels.

Baaki Birlaa ji ki beti ne bhi pehle attempt mein nikaalaa hai. Obviously I am not hinting ki ladki may or may not be bright that if some telegram channels can manage insider information then Birlaa ji cannot manage important topics/chunks themes of syllabus if not question papers.

And in an exam like this that's a pretty good edge to have to know and have excellent fodder for select themes that your peers may not have for they are busy covering whole chunk.

Sorry anon for writing down my speculations.

I wanted to rant a lot about this exam a month ago, even wrote that I will rant after prelims. After writing pre there is nothing much to rant. And I am obvious now that I will not continue being in this chakravyuh. Graduated in 2022, on papers it is just a year that I prepared for upsc though I am actually preparing for the last 3.5 years. Reading the same bullshit every year.

Staying in Delhi seeing hardworking seniors some approaching their 30s, clueless about the career and future, with risk appetite getting low, good opportunities sacrifised, this exam makes the lives of most people miserable.Personally I might have cried hundred nights being here preparing for this goddamn exam.

An influencer teacher once in a show said "kuch na hoga to tajurba hoga", like dude come on there are hell lot of things to lose. Your batchmates may be drinking coffee in Paris lunch in Berlin, holidaying in Switzerland and we are stuck in a cubicle preparing and youtubers minting money showing entry videos and what not. Even famous ias puts 'chapa maara' videos on yt.

People may have vested interests promoting us to sacrifice our 20s for this. It might sound angoor khatte hai, it may be somewhat true but ive lost interest both in the journey as well as the destination.

I wonder whats after cracking the exam, reaching the point which ive been dreaming for the last 4 years. I might be working with an MLA who by hawala transfers his money, is a millionaire, distributes alcohol during elections. Even met some aspirants in Delhi who wamt dowry after becoming ias and take upar ka paisa. I had a very noble cause of becoming a bureaucrat like being satisfied helping others, making schools doing reforms and what not. But no more not because of the exam which I am unable to qualify (showing my incapacity) but also because im no more motivated to do so. GenZ is honest efficient and delivers whats required, fhis is hoax.

2-3 years down the line I might consider working in europe or us or singapore. If in late 20s after a global exposure changes my perspective of looking at things I might appear for this one last time amd its chances are bleak. I love this community and will remain active here. Love you all and best wishes for everything and to everyone :)
