CSE 2023: Plan/ Strategy/ Daily Routine
This one is for those who are in college (ideally, final year). I'm periodically hit by a wave of panic and anxiety regarding how I'm going to manage both college and cse prep in the months that lie ahead. I'm occupied in sem exams since mid July till mid Aug. I'm not doing any cse prep since July. Funnily enough, not being able to focus on college exams bc of this anxiety so ruining both. Any helpful advice is welcome (brownie points if you're in the same boat).
Not in college now but was once. You can try this-
Divide your day into upsc /college stuff (some hours for college, some for upsc)
,or divide your week (into some days allocating it for upsc some for college stuff). Whatever suits you.
When studying college subjects forget (or try to forget) about upsc tensions (like this much to study, this subject to be read, is baar hoga ya nahi ) , when studying about upsc subjects forget college tension.
I found I could do more things if I had panicked less about how many things to do.
For college exams, give priority to basic and important stuff. Stuff your professors said is "important", pyq, etc. Read about Pareto Principle. Aim to get 70-80% marks/cgpa/.
Not a sure shot thing. Plus different things work for different people. I hope this helps : )
Woke up at 9.Mismanaged sleep schedule today. Lol.

A bad day and I will have a frantic September(when I have some break days after exams),I suppose.
Did 1st,3rd and 6th target one.
Also,I am not detained by college from appearing in exams. So that's a relief.Lol

Had a long and shitty day at college, ghar wapis aake bhi padhne ka mann nhi kiya. Barely did anything. That’s alright though some days will be good, some will be bad. Bas padhte chalo, badhte raho.
So, I have managed to reach the reading hour, albeit about 1 and half hour late again. That urge to see ki September-October mei kya pdenge bhi naa makes one to scroll through those books early morning and make unrealistic estimations.
@LetsGetThisBread That's the spirit.I remember coming across some post regarding 'pitfalls of absorbing guilt' on Shabbir Sir's Twitter TL. Since then, I consciously avoid that feeling. Its suicidal and keeps on adding.

Every choice has an opportunity cost attached to it. Either you can buy a test series or you can have an iPad, the choice is yours.
If you ask me , buy ipads.. in last 5 years i have amassed a dozen of them. Atleast these ipads don't become redundant every year and you have something to show for when your parents ask where did all the money go.
