Btw agnipath is not about specialist. That is lateral entry thing. Looks like you have half baked knowledge. :)

You were calling IAS as overhyped clerk (generalist) and then suggested that they ought to be specialized. That’s a generalist specialist debate. Neither agnipath nor instagram has anything to do with it.
iphoole,@Capedcrusader1 btw IAS is not generalist, he is specialist in management. Govt is now focusing on domains specialisation. Kitabi Gyan se and mere chote se 6 sal k managerial exp se...generally, Specialists are not good managers. They can be good supervisor.. isi liye corporate me bhi IIMs or mgmt grads prefer karte rather than promoting an engineer to management position. Max he can be product head rather than Gm or country head or CEO. 85 percent CEOs in corporate belongs to marketing and general management. Marketing is also similar to general management.Cook can be chief chef, but most of the hotels are run by entrepreneurs..IRMS debate bahut interesting hai .. esp by technical side hasi ati hai.. unke tark sun k

I differ from your point of view. Indian revenue services, Indian corporate services can be ideal for agnipath like scheme. This has potential to attract candidates as corporates would always prefer background in tax related issue.Certainly not ias, ips and ifs where experience matter.
For armed forces agnipath there are still many candidates who have applied. We have 1.4 billion population and many unemployed graduates like me would happily take class 1 job even if it is for four years and then switch to other private firms where experienced is valued. But yes doctors, iitians and iims may not prefer it.

Bro my simple point is that the idea of agnipath is not poorly envisaged. It’s the need of the hour.
I agree with its basic tenet. How it will unfold in CS no one knows. So clearly everyone has half baked knowledge about its nature in CS.
And as far as glorifying of Cs is concerned, is topic ko toh rehne hi do bhai
