should i start analizing previous years papers while going through ncerts?
I would suggest you do it if you have time.
1. You can see the trend of UPSC related to NCERTs in recent years.
2. You can find which questions are answered partly through NCERTs itself saving you the effort of finding content in other books. I read in another thread a pre question which was answered in one o
3. NCERTs provide a basic understanding of issues (in a broader sense and not always context-specific). If you can extract such in beginning itself, it'll anyways make your answers simpler to understand which others might not do
4. NCERTs are filled with anecdotes and story. If you can use them in essays and maybe examples/ illustrations you will save effort in thinking those during /preparation/mock tests/exam.
Be wise in spending time with NCERTs though.
