[ Official ] How was the Prelims 2021 paper?
How was the paper guys ?
lambda or mu hi change kare hai humne bhi. pta nhi speed of light kab change ho gyi XD@Captainnerd I dont remember in any stage of prep when we started to increase/decrease light speed.anyway resting my argument
Lambda aur speed dono change hote hain but frequency nahi change hota hai medium Badalne se ye wala cheej padhate hain bhaii.!!!
My logic was : for distance u need 2 things , distance and time ....so option d must be correct ....still jo upsc decide karega vohi answer h
For something to be used as a unit of measurement, its value should be a determinate constant. Speed of light can be determined and is a constant. It varies with different media, but in each medium the speed is constant. Light year is calculated based on speed of light in vacuum, so it is kind of implied. The remaining 3 options have nothing to do with why something would be used as a unit of measurement. So the correct answer is D

plmokn25688524,Guys and Gals, iff no answer key shows your particular answer as correct, 99.9% it is incorrect. Please don't try to put research papers here. Pata nahi Lender of last resort wale mei kya dikkat hai inko. NCERT padhlo bhai log.RBI ki reports (ctrl+f LOLR)bhi padh lo. Ek hi matlab hota hai LOLR ka, which is Statement 2 (to only banks).

in light question, it cant travel in straight line. my logic was refractive index. coin in a water vessel looks raised. so light bends. that diagram is also there when light enters one medium to next
iska answer light speed doesn't vary he. forget everything else. Light shows dual property where it can also behave as wave. Speed of light is like TATHAGATA, beyond all coming and going. it's constant and this is at heart of Einstein's relativity theory. baki cheeze bhul jao, light speed doesn't change.
