Take a break people! I think this really helps, I was so so sad yesterday, after which I went for dinner with family, some shopping and today planned a self-care session, cooking ( my hobby), talking with grandparents and friends and many more things.

I feel much better today and from tomarrow back in the game for some other exams which are lined up! Take care you people. Maybe I would post some khane ke pictures for all of you, which you all can drool over.

Lil easy to say when it was your first attempt. Not so when you're into second or third.

I felt the same like you previous year. Not so this year post exam.

Regarding the pressure cooker question, I thought weight of the lid is always balanced by the rim. So it isn't exerting any downward force unlike the case of piston where its weight applies the counter pressure since that's movable.

Logically only hole in the lid should be the answer but I marked 1 and 2.

The weight of the lid is balanced by the rim as well as the steam inside the cooker. Normal reaction force is exerted by any surface which has contact with the object. Your logic is correct but incomplete.

I know, i did 1 and 3 at first but then backed off. Lols

This time 100+ people are pretty much relaxing about the result while last year people around 98-102 were fretting about the result.  Maybe people in 90s can hopeful, just enough to make a sane decision right now. But not that hopeful, that the result shatters the very core of your soul.

Among all the negativities, some positivity spread karna is what I wanted.

It was my coping mechanism, you need to cope as well, can't always sit and always think about one thing. Better moving on jitna jaldi ho sake utna.

@fortarach63 What you have marked for concentration of wealth question?

I think i marked DPSP. I'm not sure. Could have marked something else too. I am very very determined to not open the question paper to either google the correct answer or cross check what I marked till the result is not released. Then I'll deal with whatever has to be dealt with. Tab tak retaining my peace of mind

Which key is feeling most reliable one so far?

If I had stopped studying a month earlier, toh bhi same marks aate.

Lost 2 questions to mis-reading. RBI governor wale mein didn’t read second statement said “constitution” and suba-pargana wale me descending kardiya. Ah. 😑 Upar se CSAT.

Lo Batao! Meine article 14 wala question galat kar diya - misreading, misreading, misreading!

Same here. And I am a law grad. Fml. Became overconfident, didn't even read the full question.

I don't know why people (specifically those who did not sit in exam hall to solve this type of paper) feel that there is 100% strike rate in easy questions. Those who appeared , know it very well that some silly mistakes are bound to happen.  What else we can do ? Pressure is going to play its role.

Yep. The middle ground between confidence and recklessness is hard to maintain. I personally veer heavily to one side or other. Never the perfect examinee's mindset. When I'm in one of my reckless wala cycles it is so hard for me to stop marking questions that I KNOW I can't answer correctly. Plus the other external factors.

If the flame is off and there is nothing inside the cooker, the lid will still be balanced though, right?

Temperature at which water boils inside the pressure cooker is not dependent on the temperature of the flame. It depends on the pressure that the cooker can withstand. Higher pressure means water will boil at a higher temperature. That's the whole purpose of using a pressure cooker

I read all the comments last year also but did not comment anything because I was naive back then...just beginning my journey into UPSC...

But since last year October to yesterday, I tried my level best. Have more than 120 mocks of vision, Forum, GSSCORE, OnlyIAS, NextIAS and what not . No day in last year I spent without studying 6 hours daily.(I'm a working professional)

Last year, I was getting around 88-95 from different answer keys but didnt clear prelims. As I opted for IFoS also last year so not even know what my actual score of last year is.

And now. Here I'm again. After a year of hardwork and doing everything I could possibly do, I'm getting 86.67 in most optimistic scenario. I'm from general category just because I choose to have a job to help my family overwise I would be EWS as my all family income and other criteria is very much at lower middle class level. I'm at my lowest right now.

It's easy to say that try next year and all that cherishable stuff, but I literally left no stone unturned this time. I even got 137 marks in NextIAS Anubhav All India test series had been under top 100 in my test series...but this time I'm literally heartbroken like hell...

@oopsie Totally agree with you...marked that without a second thought...now from different answer keys... feeling lost

@oopsie Say, if we were to artificially use a pressure chamber, going by your logic it would automatically cook the wood without a flame. Secondly, if you have ever cooked food higher gas flame means the food cooks faster. I wonder why

This one and the magnetite question ...coachings are wrong

right to city 2,3

and magnetite will be 1,2,4 (no where could see telephone wires giving out it..)

crossposting as all coachings have bad keys

can verify same from final key upsc wala

rest it was very random exam..so expect cutoffs to dip further

keep studying..ATB

Coachings were wrong in 2019 wala paper(7-9 answers),  now to they are in too much hurry, there are chances that's why marks are fluctuating

2020, we still don't know (welcome to UPSC)

Jisko andar jaana hoga uska, he/she will get increase, dhakka maar k UPSC marks badha degi,  jisko nhi they will be pulled from the other side to the journey of regrets

kahan aaj kuch movie/TV series dekhna tha aur kahan jumping from TG to forum to TG
