Question basically has two parts.
3 other rivers meeting in main river and which joins the indus directly.
So sutlej can be negated from this as ravi and jhelum meet chenab, not sutlej.
And in chenab all other three rivers meet.
Don't just look at one part of question I.e. which meets indus directly.

For this question, only thing can be said that it is very poorly worded and now it is upto UPSC , whether Chenab or Sutlej. And this one question may shatter the dreams of many as 2.66 marks are very important in this absurdly set paper checking random facts.

As regarding the question about " State", i still have doubt whether all states need to be Sovereign?As there are some Non sovereign states also if we search.you r spot on,I strongly believe its b but none would accept it as coaching keys claim its a..Just wait for the result.it does not matter after that.
As per montveido convention state has 4 characteristics: People, Territory, Govt and Sovereignty.
@GOT8 dear at that arcot was dependency of mughal .arcot became independent and emerged out of nizam in 1768 as per treaty.

Yes u are correct in the sense that Nizamat of Arcot became independent from Nizam of Hyd... but emerged out does not seem appropiate to me (since emerged out seems like born of Arcot 1st time)

@assistant becoming independent doesn’t mean emerging out. Say for example, India became independent from British empire in 1947. That does not mean India emerged out of Britain. India emerged way before Britain
