Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.
@kartikayias234

@vvvikas0078212is it ok in ur opinion to mourn jihadi like Afzal?
if those are the values which these places impart,waste of tax money!
@rookie01
Marxian concept me sab hi sab opression hoti hai they cant see past that lense, but on an another note if most of the government funding goes for hostel and canteen subsidy and leaa amount for research purposes which was the rationale given by the administration how do u see research and knowledge generation progressing in our country especially when it is so low
@Lazydreamerand@Ravs
you win
Now people saying 26-27 December. EWS issue has allegedly caused the delay.
Donno what's transpiring at UPSC.
@Ravspresumption of ignorance of all, and generalising can be very dangerous things. They've led to genocides and holocausts.
Everyone do their bit to change oneself and others in a positive manner. Maybe it starts with as simple as educating the ignorant opinions in family WhatsApp groups. And I'm sure there are many activists who are well aware of what they're fighting and why and they will proceed to educate the 'opportunists' within the protests.
@Dreadfulyar what will happen to those who cleared prelims due to ews but couldn't produce the certificate by aug 1. ?
Haar jeet nahi hai mere bhai yahan.
Main toh bass bakar badha rha tha yaar.
Enjoy Bangkok Goa.
@kartikayias234disqualified if not meeting general cutoff for pre.
This is what i know.
Correct me anyone if i am wrong.
@kartikayias234those might have received a mail from upsc regarding changing category to general or rejection of candidature
@Ravshmm. Seems logical. There might be few such candidates especially if the difference between prelims cutoff of ews and Gen was large.
@kartikayias234all those who have cleared prelims via ews and haven’t been able to upload certificate have been informed via mail about their candidature being revoked
@ManchesterUnitedokay.
@Ravsif you think protest globalization ke baad West se aayi hai, you have very little idea about history of protest prior to 1991. My dad attended medical college in early 1980s and there were lots of protests in his college.
I don't like this trend of blaming everything on West. It just shows a lot of insecurity about things. What most people call westernisation is actually assertion of rights and individualism. Indians have always been insecure with people asking for too much rights and freedom. There's always a desire to put such people in place.
@kochikaameProtesting is not bad!
Torching buses is!Pelting stone is!
Shouting Hinduose Azadi is!
Shouting Bharat tere _ _ _ hoga is!
They all talk about how bad India,Israel is for Muslims
Don’t they have guts to question uighurs of china?Oh wait leftists right?
Abhi Information and communication technology itna developed hai ki Globalisation ki taaqat bahut badh gyi hai.
1980s ke time pe bhi protests chal.rahe thay in various parts of the world. To mention a few,
JP movement 1975-77.
Iran 1979
Strikes and protests in response to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s economic reforms.
Poland lighting up through the 1980s while Cold War-era Eastern Europe stays dark.
The escalation of apartheid protests in South Africa in the late 1980s.
INDIAN YOUTH ANGREZO KO ZYADA COPY KARTA HAI, YEH MERA EXPERIENCE HAI.
Apna culture of tolerance, rationality and harmony ko bhool kar unko western values zyaada pasand aati hain.
Saare Nibba Nibbi bewaqoof hain.
@Ravsfunny thing is that those standing for apna culture of tolerance and rationality are being called west inspired youth. Vahi pseudo science aur nafrat failaane vaale guardians of Indian culture Hain aajkal. Do you see the hypocrisy here?
@vvvikas0078212Mere bhai Judiciary hai na Scams aur unconstitutional actions ko scrutinise karne ke liye. Petition daalo aur intezaar karo.
Protests karke kiska role hadapna chahte hain yeh "intellectuals" ?
Judiciary ka Legislature ka ya Executive ka.
@ManchesterUnitedkahaan se kahaan pahunch Gaya? You are assuming all protest are violent and asking for azaadi. I never supported a violent protest and never will.
Your reply is entirely something else of what I wrote and is more on emotional lines.
This is old issue.
I too applied under EWS but got certificate on August 5.
UPSC didn't issue mains admit card to those who cleared prelims under EWS (but had prelims marks less than the general category), but couldn't give certificate dated before 31st July.
There were around 300 such candidates. Around 15 of the 300 signed as petitioner n approached Delhi High Court (or CAT, I don't exactly remember). The judiciary ruled that UPSC issue admit card to the petitioners (only 15 petitioners, not all 300 affected were given relief. Donno what the rest 285 odd ppl wud do). That's all I know.
