Check your parent’s salary for the last three consecutive years. If in any of the last 3 years it is below 8 lakhs, you are qualified for OBC Non-creamy layer status, provided income from other sources is also less than 8 lakhs.

Regarding parents under Government employment, the status of the job (Group A/B/C/D) is more important than the salary. If your parents are earning more than 8 lakhs but their rank is below that of group B officers, you will still come under the Non-Creamy Layer.
(ii) Modification in application form (Other than OTR Profile Registration):
The Commission has also decided to extend the facility of making correction(s)in any field(s)of the Online Application Form for this examination from next day of the closure of the application window of this Examination. This window will remain open for 7 days from the date of opening of the same, i.e., from 12.02.2025 to 18.02.2025. In case a candidate wants to carry out any change in his/her OTR profile during this period, then he/she should login to the OTR platform and do the needful accordingly. In other words, no change in the OTR Profile (Registration) can be made by visiting the window for Modification in application form.(Page no 16)
If both are employed by the Government as Group B, before age 40, you are Creamy Layer.
Regarding parents under private employment or private business, annual income is the main criterion. Nevertheless, salary and income from other sources should be considered separately.The main point here is to treat income from salary and income from other sources separately. Neither salary nor income from other sources should cross Rs.8 lakhs in three consecutive years.
