Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.
This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.
No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

Good morning you guys!
July seventh, Twenty Twenty One

2. April 1/2
3. Questions
Targets are fewer today because I'm going to spend a few hours away from my desk with a dear old friend.
Hope all of you have a good day :)
Sooo the few hours turned into many hours, and then i came home and just couldn't study. Turns out my brain was tired and I just didn't realise until now π spent some time gossiping with my brother and did about half of everything, will reset from tomorrow. No irreversible damage done and I feel it was worth it, like I was plugged into a charger!
@LetsGetThisBread thank youuu. Had too much fun hehehe. Also, you get the bread AND you get the cake - the pro move Marie Antoinette did not know about π hope it turns out well!
Hope everyone had a nice day :) good night folks!
7/7/21 (Day 3 of 42)
Maths curvature ->only half done
Newspaper ->done
CA class ->done
Ethics 1 case study ->done
Today's start was poor. Didn't study much until evening. Then went for an hour long jog/walk. By the end, my body was completely tired but my mind was refreshed. So I could study much better in the second half and end up almost completing my targets.
Well, now that@whatonly talks about forum making UPSC studies bearable and fun, le me try it.
Had a really bad day today, couldn't study much apart from the morning session due to distorted sleeping schedule. I regret this and hoping not to repeat.
My targets:
1. PSIR notes - human rights and power
2. Mrunal (4/4)
3. species in news(2/2)
4. PT 365 Economics ( 7/10)
5. CSAT- topic after profit.
6. book reading if time permits.
Lets see how this day goes.
Itβs a brand new morning, thereβs a new packet of bread at home, coincidence? I think not. Targets for 7.7.21:
GS- security notes
Sept 2020 C/A revision
Daily C/A
CSAT
Write with left and right hand
Thatβs all for the day folks.
P.S people who have/had short hair, how do you look halfway decent? I have no clue what to do with my hair, it is just growing up like a jungli child. I look like Virat Kohli from his early cricketing days, minus the cricketing skills. The only cricket I know lives behind my bookshelf.
Assuming that you want to grow your hair lengthy again, putting forward some effective tips for growth which I have tried and would suggest you to try as well:-
- Go to barber for a hair trim every month. This will prevent the growth of hair in a haphazard manner and will let your hair grow in a organised way. Trimming hair at regular intervals let the hair grow faster as it removes the split ends which make hair look messier. Here, just make sure that you get the trimming done by the same barber only or else every time you change your barber, you might end up having a new/different hairstyle.
- Try oiling your hair and scalp as much as possible. Suggested time would be the time just before going to bed for sleep. Do a good amount of champi(circular motions) so that your scalp soaks the oil well. Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner when you wake up. One good thing about short hair is that usage of shampoo would be minimal as shampoo too damages hair to an extent. You can do this on a daily basis or 3-4 times a week.
- You can try applying some natural extracts like onion juice or paste of fenugreek seeds(methi dana), phuck mama earth and other beauty products. You can grate some onions, squeeze out its juice, massage your scalp and hair with the juice, let it dry for a few hours then wash it away with shampoo and conditioner. You can also soak some fenugreek seeds in water for a night, drain out that water, put it in a spray bottle, and sprinkle/apply it on your hair on a daily basis. The remaining soaked methidanas can be grinded in a mixer, turned into a paste and applied as hair mask. These natural ingredients would do no harm to your hair and will also help in your hair growth. Though onion juice would smell real bad, but it actually is good for hair.
For looks you canβt do much about it. What you can do is you can start wearing a cap. That would be a good thing to do as I also wear a π§’ as currently I am also keeping short hair. I do look good in short hair though I donβt like keeping short hair but have to in summers, thanks to global warming eh!
Try doing the above mentioned things and Iβm sure within next 6 to 8 months your hair would be long enough to sport a pony tail or even a bun. In my case, this time period is enough to transit from short hair to medium length hair, hair growing long enough to make a pony tail( like the one SRK has in the movie Happy New Year, barring the blonde streak).
P.S- I ainβt no Jawed Habib or any such hair specialist. All this is coming from a dude who likes to keep long hair. Cheers!
Saving this for later. My mother regrets me shaving my head and she will try absolutely anything to make my hair grow out again. Thanks for this
Wondering what made you shave your head in the first place ??π€ Quite brave, I would say..
Iβve always been very βtry karke dekhte hainβ which has landed me in situations ranging from fun, scary, to life changing, like this. I went out with my shaved head uncovered in public, and yes, people stare at you, but it really makes you take pride in you and your choices quite unapologetically. Itβs very liberating and I would advise everyone to do it once if they can. Baal bhi bade mast ugte hain.
Is UPSC also your "Aj kuch toofani karte hain?" :P
Thankfully not. I would have bowed out a long time ago otherwise :)

We wouldn't mind pictures of the cake. No one dislikes virtual calories :)

What do you call the number of people required to start a Lok Sabha session? A quorum.
What do you call the number of people required to make upsc studies bearable and even fun? A Forum.
I know it's a weak joke but feelings samajho aur haslo :D
Joke bhi mara and pdhai bhi krva di ( the first line) π π that's the justification of second line ........... Although pichle kuch din acche nhi gye ab jo gya uspr mitti pao and get back to studies
