Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.
This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.
No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

T36 18 Aug 2021Mock and AnalysisAncient HistoryNews/CAQAAWPMe in today's test :
I didn't even study for today's test (which are clearly reflected in my marks).
Fun fact- In the past 30 years Upsc has not asked a single question from Struggles of princely states, Civil rebellions and just 2-3 questions on very prominent tribal revolts. I analysed the PYQs few days ago and noticed this trend. This doesn't mean that tomorrow UPSC will not throw a bouncer ques on us from these topics. But I personally chose to focus on more expected and scoring topics.
Just want to say that don't worry to much. Have faith in your preparation. :)
Targets:
Polity remaining portion ->done
CA ->June July 2020 done.. CA class handouts not done
Newspaper ->done
Time studied ->7 hours
Studying for Prelims is so much more boring and harder.. Mains feels way more interesting. So while the time I'm devoting to studies has stayed roughly the same, right now everything feels more hard and effort-full. I'm guessing it's similar with many of you.
Goodnight everybody :) All the best for everything
@Celeborn Hi buddy ! Any special strategy of doing polity in less time ? how are you doing it ?
There's no special strategy as such that I'm using. I've revised polity many, many, many times. That's the main reason why it takes less time.
One thing, though, that has added to my effectiveness and efficiency, is having cue-words (or mini questions) on a separate sheet of paper (attaching an image for clarity - https://ibb.co/34n7pZk). Basically it's every relevant fact on every page converted to question form in my own rough words. I start by looking at these and trying to recall the fact/ point/answer. If I can't, I'll read and memorize. This helps me skip what I know and move onto what I don't. It also ensures that I'm not just reading the text but actually learning. (this is basically a jugaadu hand-written way of ankification)
I am pretty much exhausted. I put all that I had today. Around 9 good hours after cutting out those 6 hours of college leaves almost nothing for recreation. Yet I couldn't achieve all the targets. But then I believe this is my general tendency. If I am given an option to climb either of the two peaks, I will choose to climb 70-80% of the steeper peak than to climb a less steeper peak. Haha!
I did this today-
Targets for tomorrow-
Day 21 (19th August)-
A funny thing that is happening with me these days- Whenever I feel drowsy during the day, I try to manipulate my mind by reminding it that SLEEP IS A MERE STATE OF MIND and tbh it works.
Chalo Shubh Ratri doston!

Economics PYQ
Ancient + Medieval PYQ
Modern history to be started
Newspaper backlogs
2 Hour session for 2015 PYQ

A very hodge-podge day. Kept hopping into other topics every now and then. Meanwhile, my mind was like -
Ancient history qns be like XYZ civilisation ko Ghoda pata tha, Hal pata tha, Gadhe the wahan, sher aur bagh me se kaun tha *Kaun tha...* My expectations were low from the paper, but din't go as bad. Am learning to take a guess.
