Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.
This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.
No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.
Moderator Update: This thread has crossed 1 million views and has thousands of comments slowing down the website. We are closing this and moving to the next thread
what do you guys reckon a good score in the mocks is??"Forum normally awards marks conservatively. I believe 85+ is a decent score in Forum in GS and similarly 110+ in essay is also an optimum score."
This is what Divyanshu Choudhary (AIR 30) wrote in his telegram channel.
*sighs of relief intensify
I have been underground since the UPSC Prelims result. I was on a call with a college friend of mine who's writing Mains too and he believes he hasn't prepared at all and isn't going to clear the exam. I see the same sentiment being echoed here too by people. And as a matter of fact I know that all these people are absolutely brilliant and if they can't do it then no one can. Sending you all so much positivity and love and warm hugs(especially if you're in northern parts of India) Go kill it people.
Personal Update :I cleared UPPCS Pre and that has kept me occupied. Huge thanks to ForumIAS for launching the test series. I was so lost on that front.
Lost my hope midway as my health took a downturn & now trying to offset
Let's give our best
Part of team Trimax since class eleventh!Hello peeps, one recent discovery I'd like to share.
So, I wanted to try out a new pen and ditch V5(no specific reason, bas ainvayi). I tried the trimax after a long time and it seems so better. The ink colour is brighter, and I believe they have trimmed the grip a bit, making it easier to hold. So if any of you guys are looking for a pen, do try trimax.
Note- Not the rorito maxtron, but reynolds trimax.Have the same feel few days ago started trimax again after v5 ( same no reason ) and find it very good
Never felt any issues with that. Also, I roughly calculated how long it lasts as per my handwriting and mock test's sheets. It came out to be around 82 pages per refill. So 1 refill would comfortably last 1 exam and recently there was some offer too. So got a refill for 20 instead of 25 and for buying a pen itself got a glue stick free. :P :P
That is a steal price.
I am juggling between rorito and pilot. Get more ideas with rorito. But pilot is smooth as wine and I keep returning to it. :-/

arey aap log pen pe itna load mat lo…Kanishak kataria ne ₹10 ke pen se top kiya tha exam…he posted about it on instagram. Sometimes speed and flow of information is a function of revision and internalising the concepts more than pen or anything else. (Or at least it is the case with me :P )

This is that time when instead of feeling a sense of excitement, I feel dread. Dread of all that is pending. There is a current affair stack. Revision of static is pending. Sociology is a bottomless jar of thinkers and ideas. There is the need to be average and the need to shine.
Oh you need 50 % only. The journey to get 50 % has never been this difficult. But yet we push. Today Socio, tomorrow current, the day after essay. And then we hustle. There is no end and yet there is the date. So the end is certain. How it ends is in my hands. Maybe, somewhat, yes a little.
No a lot. Yes, a lot. So I got to change the outcome. Onwards and upwards.
