Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.

This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.

No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

Yeah right, it is indeed our duty to just focus on studying right now and go for the kill, one question though, is a covid positive person supposed to quarantine/isolate herself or is she expected to travel to a different city and write the damn papers?

I'm not banking on UPSC to postpone the exam, just curious.

@D503 figure with good testing is multiple of 10 ( delhi) with bad it's like 20-50( hyd/kolkata).

Like last 3-4 days se bed pe padha hu, Still can't be sure if I had covid. ( isolating since last 7 days still got it) . But If it's not COVID. Covid on recently ill will cause extra damage. Can't get tested that is annoying but atleast i can isolate myself.

But surely ppl will travel to exam center covid no covid.

Can someone share some t exam related undersecretary mail id. Least I like to Know as doctor what are upsc plan ( which will most definitely not be upto mark) .

If a bureaucracy can't be sensitive to it's own future members... God bless us all... But still I honestly praying this is it, can't get sick during exam..alpha beta gamma sab dhara reh jayega..if it happens during gs or optional vale din. It's far too competitive to be during exam, not sure y others are not panicking or concern... Good immunity I guess...

Btw Delta was definitely more comfortable to me( compare to last 4 days) so different variants affects ppl differently.. Many drs / old parents etc had their 2nd dose long time back... I stop my ranting.

Kindly share mail id... Rest will thank God for recovery ( blessed to be alive) then study...tc u all & have some prepration in mind.

@Rocker disagree with con 2....as all upsc job is to ensure there is a list of 780 odd ppl before the start of training next year somewhere in December. That's about it.. Neet-pg counseling that's actually delayed a academic session by 6 months... Here nothing is getting disturbed or delayed. Rest we all are precious Tc of ur self...n do what makes sense... Case will definitely be at its peak around 10-15th...considering delhi / mumbai R is almost 2.5 .

@dusrath123 Was just being sarcastic. Written in the spirit of mains answer writing.

And I know it won't have much effect on the calendar but this is one of the rationale being given in many quarters regarding the postponement of exams. However it seems bit of an irony to me that on one side UPSC/state expects us to be change oriented, compassionate and empathic but on the other it is itself showing the fossilised bureaucratic characteristics. Then again LIFE IS NOT FAIR.

@Magic Don't you know, KEEP IT A SECRET CZ ANYBODY GIVING MAINS WILL SURELY NOT TELL THAT HE/SHE HAS COVID

P.S. I don't think there would be any postponement and that too at this juncture no matter how precarious the situation is so let's go for kill and in process try not to get killed (PRAGMATIC SIGMA).

@Yuri_bezmenov on second thoughts, i have also written an email asking for a clarification to be made, i have not asked for postponement but have requested for clarification on the same points that everyone here is making.

Wish you all a very Happy New year guys. Lets hope we have a successful year, a one with kindness and empathy. Its been a challenging year health wise.

PS: With some favouring for postponement, please dont want to go through this grind further. Bahut zyada ho gaya :( Also we wont be very productive if we get more time as such.

@SergioRamos doesn't that sound like most idiotic thing if that's reason. All wave are like almost 1 month sply omicron ( south Africa experience) it's still 15 plus days for last paper... Ab jan vale conduct karva kar kya Feb March vale postpone karoge... Bhagwaan.. It's easy to accept their are idiots at DM than ki whole decision making is symbolic drama.

It's not idiotic. They don't postpone exams when it's too close is because it will be a logistical nightmare to do so. The preparation for exam like upsc must involve efforts of many people and demands a great level of secrecy. So postponing at this juncture when question papers must have been printed, centres must have started the preparation would not be feasible. Last year CDS was conducted amidst the peak only because it was too close. So no matter what the conditions are unless and untill government restricts it, no amount of cases will lead to postponement. And is it fair? Well most of things in life aren't and this is just one such example of how bad luck can ruin your life.

@Asmita_101 anyone remember that case study.. When ur relative is injured N u got interview, this is that sort of thing. In my opinion it's still idiotic as definitely there be more than few from whom fair opportunity will be snatched without even considering the matter of life n death.

Plus it's sort of disrespectful to Delta N omicron those fellows are working suc a discipline . Personally now I am recovered got plenty of sleep will do what I can rest it's just a job n a exam.
