Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.
This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.
No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

10th June
Yay to rainy day!
- PSIR - leftover topics of P1A (2 hours)
- Security - revise notes (3 hours)
- May CA (2/2)
- AWP
- Ethics - revise notes (1-2 hours)
Okay, so didn’t touch ethics. Also, couldn’t revise security completely. Rest stuff done.

- I don’t know why I take up so many things in a day time and again. Anything beyond 3-4 tasks is untenable.
- Will keep things super simple moving forward - will finish off optional topic before lunch, take up GS post that and do CA & daily stuff before dinner.
- So relieved that Paper 1 Part 1 revision + PYQ wraps up today. Now, will solely focus on Paper 2 for the next 30 days. This one topic a day thing worked really well.
- Since, I’ve time to kill before sleep abhi, going to resume that series again. Last episode ended on such a cliffhanger. I’m hooked. Thank god it only has like 7-8 episodes otherwise hojana hai padhai meri.
June 9, 2021
Targets for today were-
1. Optional- Complex analysis set 2,3
2. Ethics- class 13
3. Daily current affairs
Things I got done-
1. Set- 2,3 ( residue topic left)
2. daily current affairs.
Wasn’t so productive in the second half of the day.
But as James Clear said, “Start now. Optimise later. Imperfect starts can always be improved. Obsessing over a perfect plan will never take you anywhere on its own”
Therefore putting aside my ‘perfect day’ syndrome,
Here are the tasks for tomorrow-
1. Optional- complex analysis: complete theory and practice questions from the sets
2.Ethics- class 13
3. CA class- 1
4 daily current affairs
Could do only maths and CA class.
I feel so bad that I woke up at 5:30 am with great enthusiasm but long power cut has ruined all the plans.
Anyway, to keep myself sane, I chose to draw
Morning guys :)

- Watched the first episode of the new mini series Mare of Easttown during lunch. It’s a small town crime drama starring Kate Winslet. Quite good so far.
- @Mare_of_Easttown yesterday I thought to myself what a strange username you had, but I get it now. 😂
- Has everyone taken up running suddenly? I used to feel smug about getting 10k steps down, but now I feel like an elderly. Does running from responsibilities count?
@Villanelle Now you know. On side note - Mare of Easttown wont let you down 🙃
@MaeveWiley @Villanelle where are you guys to get good weather? A boiler room feels like heaven compared to Delhi these days
Is this good enough? :D
Good morning, gentle people.
On today's prime time agenda :
1. PSIR Hegel/Rousseau + AWP (3 hours)
2. Society (2 hours)
3. Security (2 hours)
4. July CAs : 30 pages
Aap sab ka din khush gavaar guzre. :p
Hello gentle peepul,
Today I felt like a frying samosa in a kadhai with electricity going on and off perpetually like my motivation! 43°C : The reason why I regret not being at my ancestral place. Khair!
First half of the day went well. Finished the two decided GS portions. Second half of the day went bleh. Had to race against time to wind up PSIR and CA notes in the before dinner. I didn't do the AWP though. Reason? I slept for good 3 hours in the afternoon. Lena toh 20 min ka nap tha, par neend toh neend hai. :p Khair! PSIR paper 1A has ended for good! Jaan chhooti! Paper 2A starts now. I have to be regular with the AWP. That's something I tend to skip if my day goes a bit haywire. The days have to be better managed with some alterations to stick to what's planned!
The ultimate lesson that I learnt in the past few days has been that it's very essential to own your journey. Good or bad. It's yours. Live every moment of it. Laugh. Cry. Rant. Crib. Do whatever! But live every moment of it. Walk at your own pace with all you have with one step a day.
Ab main soch raha hu thoda Daler Mehndi sun liya jaaye. :P
How much special effects do you want?
Daler Mehndi: yes
@thesleepyhead shamelessly plugging this masterpieceHow much special effects do you want?
Daler Mehndi: yes
Ye hota hai Oscar worthy performance. Oho! Kya gaana hai! ❤️
Good Morning dosto
10/6
1. Monthly CA - 30 pages
2. Sociology - P2(B2, B4) (3 hours)
3. Ethics (1 hour)
4. Daily stuff (2 hours)
The weather's super nice so I will also be taking some time to listen to romantic songs while dreamily staring into distance :))))))
Couldn't finish B4. Will do B4 B4 11 AM tomorrow ( Borrowing a leaf from@nerdfighter 's book)
1. STOP BEING LAZY AND DUMB. DONT STAY UP TILL 3 AM.
2. First half of the day - Optional +15 pages Second half - Ethics + 15 pages + Misc
3. Read the book that is open in one of your 200 tabs since forever instead of looking at memes.
Other than the news, I managed to finish only two and a half booklets from my target list :(
What went wrong:
1. Thought about the amount of work I had to do today, got scared and immediately resorted to avoidant behaviour. Watched Wild Mountain Thyme (fml what a terrible terrible movie. Not even in a so-bad-that-it's-good way. Just straight up lame) AND the latest episode of The Handmaid's Tale.
Small wins: Managed to exercise, actually managed to go through some uninterrupted and undistracted Pomodoro sessions, marginally beat my 30 pages per day curse.
WTH AM I DOING. I NEED A SLAP IN THE FACE. THE WAY ALL THIS IS GOING, PRELIMS WILL BE THAT SLAP. THE POSTPONEMENT WAS A NEW LEASE OF LIFE AND I'M SQUANDERING MY TIME LIKE THIS.
Anyways, moving forward here's what I need to do. Not cut myself so much slack. Use blockers because I just can't help watching shit. I can't be scared of the work anymore and seek comfort from all this. Not chasing a perfect day, automatically worrying that I'm already behind on my ideal day and giving up too early.
