Thank you for asking this. This has been a kaafi memorable year.

Phela prelims clear hua, I went on to write mains. The most amazing experience of my life and something I have been eagerly waiting since the last 4 years. I didn't clear, but having written mains the experience was great.

Personally this year has been amazing for me in the sense that I made some very good friends this year all thanks to forum. These are the friendships which will continue for life I believe.

Went to Delhi, the place I love the most, met my school friends and a veryy dear dear friend who I haven't met since 10 years.

I remember pichle saal this time only I was someone who was so hopeless, anxious and dealing with a lot of issues like loneliness, depressed about not clearing exam and what not, even though this year post mains I have been feeling all the same feelings but I feel I am in a better position in dealing with it. And to everyone who is reading this, trust me guys, if you are going through it, things will change for sure. You will do good.

Baaki I am just hoping next year isse bhi acha ho. Mains wains nikle, interview wagera de aur kya :p

And yeh tum logon ne puch puch ke kaise din ja raha, mera din acha kar dia. Thanks xD

P.S Arey sab batao, how was 2022 for you guys! Tag nhi ho pa rhe ho koi bhi as edit kr rhi, but everyone please share how has this year been for you all?

2022 was jeher year for me, I hope it was the toughest year of my life...can't tolerate anything worse than it. I stayed in the hospital for 15+ days which gave me a glimpse of hell. Life has pains and miseries! My love for being alive has increased a lot. You know everything is pointless without a healthy and painless body. Period. Family is the strongest institution that will support you no matter what, in every situation, in every crisis!

I spent my final semester of college in Delhi and lived in FOMO and even after 2 years of missing college I could not attend it finally (yeah my decision). ORN is hell lonely. Idk why but I found many people in Delhi to be emotionally bankrupt and selfish. People are even jealous of you especially if you have a good background and some even express it explicitly. Fuck them. Some are gems, though difficult to find and without them, I would have lost my sanity in ORN

I got to know about the harsh realities of life. Nothing lasts neither friendships nor relationships. Luckily I did not have any break-ups but seeing my closest of closest friends crying and depressed, makes me sad. My roomie's GF cheated on him, and a close friend's bf became toxic.  Friends too drift away.

People will evaluate you on the basis of your annual CTC just like start-up valuation as if you are going to be sold to someone maybe on some matrimonial site someday

I was very afraid of flunking prelims, however, it turned out that failing was much easier than fearing to fail, I'll try to do this in this attempt.

After all this RR, I have learned a lot from 2022. Maybe this is what the world outside college looks like!

@D503 ,@sstarrr  can you please give some idea about how hard is to crack RBI Grade B for someone with UPSC background. I have cleared CSE prelims a few times but never passed the Mains stage. After this year Mains result, I have decided to take a break from CSE 2023 and change my optional for CSE2024.

At present I am studying mainly optional and giving 4-5 hrs in a week to RBI. I am planning to finish a quick read of Edutap’s concept notes of management by 10th of January and after that give 4hrs on daily basis to RBI. Will this be sufficient or do I need to start increasing time from now onwards? I am getting a feeling that I am taking RBI too lightly.

Please provide any other suggestions which you think can help to clear RBI, especially mains stage(I am worried about management, Edutap seems too vast).

@D503 I get you totally, even I feel the same thing, that I have lost enthusiasm which I had when I started preparation and it sucks like anything. There has not been a day when I have not cribbed about the fact that I am not studying like before and actually not enjoying what I am studying except for PSIR, baaki toh kaafi bore. Still we have no option rather than just studying. And even I have started valuing my loved ones, family, friend and most importantly sleep a lot more than before. All the very best for 2023. I really hope this turns out the best year for you and for all of us :)

@Tata Bhai, Take care of your health, nothing is more important than that. Baaki Delhi mei even I lived, dost ache ban jaye jo padhte bhi ho, toh life becomes easy warna timepass acha hoga. All the very best!

@sonder I am so sorry, I have no idea about this. I have just started my preparation and I don't think I would be the right person. Those who have written mains can guide you better on this.

Oh bhai, subah subah kitna likh diya, time to get back to studies.

Goood dayy guys!! Khush raho sab :)

Hi guys. Went for room hunting in South Patel Nagar and realised the amount of inflation now engulfing that area. The demand supply equilibrium is disturbed and owners and touts are the only beneficiaries. There was a situation when a broker showed me a room and I was like-issme ventilation nahi hai and he was like- Washroom Mei hai naa window.Oxygen aati rhegi.Lol!

Also, every time I have hunted for a room,I have been accompanied by my parents(as they hardly trust me on this). The realisation that parents adjust with a minimalistic lifestyle to ensure that their children live comfortably hits very hard at this juncture.

Also, a useful channel for those hunting for rooms(I got very good prospective offers from West Patel Nagar side but I chose South P Nagar since I have lived in this area earlier)-

Baaki, yesterday I didn't update but did a chapter of PSIR.

I personally found management to be the easiest of all. It's completely static. Make your own mindpmaps or use the ones provided by edutap. That should be enough.

@Joeyisthebesthas cleared rbi this year , i think he is better suited to answer your qsns 😅

need adviice!!! @Neyawn and other seniors.

i started preparation in apr 2022 , joined an optional coaching thoda late but completed it recently.

but still i am not thorough with my optional

a very large part of my gs is incomplete , even some of the basic subs like history are still left to study (not even touched ).

i decided to give my attempt in 2023 but seeing my situation i think i should skip 2023 ka attempt .

what u guys think ?
