So, I came back to room at 8 pm and had my cheat meal. PSIR wasn't done, but Topic 9 is done sans Energy part. Also, added Logistics part as another head in Topic 9 to add more breadth to this particular topic.

Kal ka subah, I'll upload. Though there are few days left before I go into a month long oblivion (semester exams in August), yet I will be uploading my day's schedule in mornings. This will help me in sticking to 6:30 am library deadlines.

@Morticia Haha. Weren't you guys sold Delhi Governance Model during recent Municipal Elections? When I saw that happening, I was like fette muh ho tera😂!

@LetsGetThisBread Brokers in Delhi be like- Now I am gonna show you the real deal. This ends up with him taking one to another shanty! Also, girls make a shabby room look aesthetic. For boys, it is the complete opposite.

Shubh Ratri doston!

When I lived in ORN I once joked that soon they’ll give us coffins to sleep in and uska bhi rent maangenge. My friends weren’t amused 😬

The 14yo tiffin delivery boy was amused after seeing the size of my room. He then smiled sardonically as he left the place.

Did not pass state psc :(

Guys please suggest any funny /comedy anime /series/movies/youtube channels. Searching for something new to watch.

Just because the word “anime” is mentioned, I’m wanting to share what YT recommended me this morning and it is freakin’ awesome. Hoping you are aware of the DBZ universe. Enjoy!

">

I think every anime fan in india started with DBZ /Naruto /Detective Conan as these were the first ones to be introduced in India(if I remember correctly)

Thank you and everyone else too for recommendations !

Back here after 3-4 days. And the story remains the same.

The guilt at 2 AM fires up the hope for a beautiful tomorrow. All of my plans for the future involve me waking up tomorrow with a sudden sense of discipline and adherence to routine that i have simply never displayed in my 20 years of life.

All the enthusiasm fizzles out when I hit the snooze button in the morning and the next day I'm back where I was.

Days, months, and years go by, just merely existing on autopilot. I am the worst version of myself living the worst version of my life. Sorry if these rants ruined your mood/this thread or anything else, but worry not, this shall be my last pitiful rant here.

Will be back on 1 August (maybe, maybe not)

Dear nice peeps of forum, help needed. I've trying to do current affairs but its too overwhelming for me. I read newspaper daily and jot down what seems important. In ONE notebook, all subject at one place, I'm one of those people who prefer notebooks to online media for CA hence the problem in editing data. But when the time to do monthly magazine comes it becomes impossible to manage, as there is repetition. What should I do, seperate notebooks for seperate subject? Stop jotting down daily? Do only monthly magazine? Which monthly magazine? there is like an armada of them out there. I mean all and every opinion is welcomed. It's just too confusing. Thankyou I'm advance.

I guess the number of grammatical and auto correct mistakes in the deleted text should tell you how much i type/text.

@Sam230 Making notes online is obviously convenient but really online/offline it just comes down to your preference. Here's what I think you can do:
  • Instead of using a notebook maybe use loose sheets so that you can add pages in between in case there's anything extra
  • Now to your second problem, newspaper should always be your top priority keep doing that, supplementing it with a a magazine sounds like a good enough approach to me
  • As far as the choice of magazine is considered pick forum/vision/insights, I think they're all more or less same, the key lies in revising the content multiple number of times

Hope this helps :P

@Sam230 What I am trying this year is to do newspaper and Rau's focus.
Newspaper- extremely limited note making. No matter what, a day's info should not cross half a page of an A4 sheet.
Magazine- Notes of Rau's focus.
Why Rau's? Because they explain rather than copy paste.
Why newspaper limited notes? It will be there in the magazine. Note only some one liner CA or a great quote, thought in short from the paper.

// I am more and more inclined to believe that this exam is basically a test of how well you can manage and organise stuff. // 100% agreed@D503 .

I, believe consolidation of current affairs is also a, measure of your confidence. Like for someone who has covered monthlies for a year, there is, no need for mains 365. But sadly, we are, not confident enough.

All we need is a bit of confidence and let go a fear of the unknown, consolidation will start from there.

I’m taking a jump again this time. This time without any support or any plan-B.

(The famous scene of Dark Knight Rises: Rising from the pit)

Moved out of my home town (not Delhi).

In last 1 month, analysed my failures. Read some books that I wanted to. Books related to IR and Internal security, and self help. The books covered so far are IR and Internal Security of Pavneet sir, S. Jaishankar’s The India Way, and Deep work. The books in line are Shyam Saran’s How India sees the world, and How China sees India and the world. You can recommend other books too. I realised how complex all these diplomatic and security issues are.

Watched some tv series- Panchayat season 2, Mirzapur season 2, Game of Thrones (watched again with detailed explanation of each episodes), Rajneeti movie. I think I’m taking too much interest in politics. Enough. Not any more.

Padhai wadhai karo, IAS-YAS Bano (Mirzapur scene in background)

All the best to all for 2023. Let’s grind.

[I’ll not be very active on this platform. Apun ko deep work mangta]

A4 sheets is the way to go if you prefer offline notes. Maintain a separate folder for each subject and staple them month wise to keep them organised. If you’re doing daily note making you’ll find you have more relevant content compared to monthlies. When you read your monthly add and fill in the blanks where necessary. Try not to take more than 1-2 hours daily for this endeavour or else you’ll end up wasting time. There are even daily compilations if you wish not to go through a monthly magazine.
