I think there will be a significant postponement. Government is already facing a lot of flak for its mishandling of the pandemic. Even courts have noted this.  Plus, government acknowledges this wave has strains far more virulent than the previous one. It’s gravely affecting people of all age groups, and in large numbers. Talks of a third wave are also doing the rounds. I don’t think anybody is pretending as if this is business as usual anymore, unlike last time. People are actually scared, as they should be.

I think there will almost definitely be a significant postponement, maybe even more than last year. I simply don’t see how they can hold an exam of that scale any time soon.  I’m not an insider, this is all mann ki baat.

It's a sad day. Just learned that my brother and parents back home in remote North Sikkim have tested positive. This second wave has really reached corners.

Sorry to hear that friend. I hope their symptoms are not too bad and they have a quick recovery. You take care of yourself too :)

Since we are talking about watching things, I want to plug Shyam Benegal's 2009 film Well Done Abba. 😛

It's a sweet, smart, uplifting film that'll touch your sensitive aspirant heart for sure. Set in a fictional rural village in undivided AP, it has the wonderful Dakhani dialect and a range of hilarious characters. It's about one dad-daughter duo's fight against the system to quench their thirst for justice (literally) by digging a well through a government scheme on their piece of land. And wonderful, wonderful songs.

Available on Netflix!

Oh I just finished watching this. Thanks for the good recommendation ;)
Sorry for the late comment, but I would suggest you all to watch Mandela. Highlights the importance of voting wherein each vote counts, as it should.

I’ve visited North Sikkim, and it’s probably the remotest and one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. The fact that COVID has reached even there in such numbers speaks volumes. I hope they recover soon :)

- regarding that insider info, I'm not denying that exam won't postpone. Few weeks ago someone mentioned that 4th oct being reserve date of 2020 and similarly for 2021. This seemed pretty genuine too me.
Honestly, while reading this info it felt a bit made up. That's why I mentioned. I'm still waiting for Kaptaan to speak up _/\_

Any suggestions on how to cover Sci-tech for prelims? Especially bio tech part. I did explore some Britannica articles, they were helpful but still can suggest some more resources. I'm ready to go as deep as possible in sci tech, won't bother about it

When doing the PYQs please also make sure to go through all the options and make notes on them if you haven't already. To give an example:

this was a question last year:

this was a question in 2018:

As you can see, there was a question on IAEA safeguard which was one of the options of a PYQ (it was also the answer in this case).

Which platform are you looking for these questions on? Or is it something that you are maintaining on your end.

I don't  know that I am reacting like a layman person but believe me situation is really pathetic everywhere .

When does this pandemic will over because news are coming that third variant is inevitable which might resists VACCINE also .

Whet is your take guys ?

Unnecessary my heart beat started increasing day by day seeing the death and worst part is that PANDEMIC HAS NORMALIZED DEATH RUTHLESSLY in India .

I too felt his info on both counts appears to be a mix of fact and fiction. Its upto us to believe it or discard it as bs. Though i agreed with the logic, the meeting thing seemed bs. Let ppl believe what they want to.

@Lbsnaa2021 I believe let’s do what is in our hands. Besides refraining from going outside mindlessly, let’s just enhance our immunity and encourage people in vicinity. I’ve been doing Pranayaam for years now, and highly recommend it to anyone. Its after effects are magnanimous that I will fall short of words writing them here. There is one more reason that I will not write them here because I will forget many points I know. Also, herbs like Tulsi, Giloy and the likes must be taken on daily basis.
External Vaccine is good, but self immunity is better :)
