Is this the Vajiram moment of 2020??
Bass ek din forum late kya log in kia, aaj itna kuch hogya?! FOMO. :p
Although, now I am dead confused, but I think there must be some solid info otherwise they wouldn't have taken such a risk to put out a video in public domain.

Ye ek Neta general category hai. Par tum log continue karo apna fake outrage manufacture karna.
Waah khud ka issue genuine hai( I agree, reservation ki apni zaroorat hai) but dusre jo keh rahe woh sab fake outrage. 😂 Hadd hai intolerance ki.
Reservation system ko rationalize karne ki zaroorat bhi hai.
@12432TrivendrumRajdhani what happy days those were :')
We had 8th class annual exams during that time. I have a very clear memory of this teacher bursting into our classroom to give the teacher who was the invigilator for the exam an update on the match. The whole class went into a fit of giggles, because that teacher was not someone we expected would be into cricket, or excitement of any sort lol. (Imagine your typical middle-aged strict Mcgonagall type "Miss Something" from an all-girls convent school).
After the exam was over nobody gave a second thought to discussing the paper, everyone was immediately talking about the match. That was the first time I was ever interested in any sports (and last, lol) and it was the first time I experienced the awesome collective excitement of cricket. After the match was over, our neighbour uncle, again a very strict and intimidating man, was jumping around on the street with all the bhaiyyas. I remember thinking how powerful all this was.
Thank you for bringing those sweet, sweet memories back. :')
Opened up forum and just finished reading the entire discussion on caste and gender in films. Loved reading every single word. Didnt agree with a lot of what was said on both sides. But am left with a smile thinking about the maturity with which we can navigate even sensitive issues like caste and gender here on forum. Keeping it respectable. Thats why I keep coming back here. Always learning something new. Just reading without commenting has become a great learning tool here. Aspirants on telegram cant even imagine doing something remotely similar.
And my joy was shortlived :P
YouTube algorithms sometimes are so random. Just found this video lurking in my feed, and here I am peeling onions. Thought let me share this is here, shayad kisi ko nostalgia ke darshan ho jaaye.
Now when everything is locked up, watching some youngsters care free enjoying on a cricket match seems like a luxury of the bygone era. Was feeling bit low this evening, but this really cheerd me up.
So, where were you when this happened?
I vividly remember the day. Had it not been for the World Cup final, it would have been yet another random day preparing for the JEE. Back in 2011, I almost always studied alone, usually talking in my head. I watched the game, but it was just'Yay, we won the WC'for me. I had no one to celebrate the victory with.
Come to think of social life, it is weird that most of us have remained divorced from it for a good number of our youth years. In particular, those who did JEE prep earlier and now this! I think our life has not even begun in the real sense of 'living a life.' Kudos to those who have been able to maintain the balance in their lives. I most certainly haven't been able to do so.

Ah.. the chills.. the noatalgia. ❣❣
Never felt the same excitement for cricket after the 2011 world cup.. Dont know what happened.
@12432TrivendrumRajdhani It was 2nd April, 2011. I exactly remember the date because of two reasons. First is obvious.
Second reason was a bit personal one. I was in class 8th and until then I couldn't ever dare to talk to my father straight. I don't know girls will be able to understand this, but I guess it's true for most middle class families- sons and father don't talk properly. It's hard to explain. After the match for the first time we had a proper common thing to talk about. Thankfully things have improved a bit since then but it's still nowhere close to what I see with some of my friends.
@Duryodhan he commented about STs not doing equal hardwork, then commented about general seats being taken by reserved category. You commented about people here defending reserved category while themselves getting fake certificates and all. I would shut up if any of you substantiate your assertions with some hard data.System kharab hai no doubt but uss insaan ki argument system ka critique nahi tha. Ye assert karna ki yaha tumhari outrage is manufactured is intolerance?Aur agar situation itni kharab hai toh bhai yaha argument mat karo, padhai karo. Nahi toh koi reserved category vaala firki maar jayega.

Meanwhile UPSC to civilsdaily be like
representation ki baat toh civil service reforms , indianisation of administration, simon commission ki zamaane se chali aa rhi hai. if the presumption then was that only Indians can work for interest of indians, then why cant that principle be extended to women, obcs, muslims, sc/st etc The doors of private sector are open for meritorious candidates , state institutions cant be compared with ordinary private sector jobs. Because unlike private sector, State wields coercive power and performs the function of redistribution and for that to be fair, representation is important. State decisions have the potential to create life and death situation for the proverbial last man. Private sectors cant deprive anyone of food , and other welfare measures but state can.@necromancer Sir General Category ke liye "Reserved" nhi hai 50% seats which means OPEN FOR ALL ie 100% population on 50% seats, itne hi capable ho toh 50% pe fight krro rather quota seats. Jali ho toh pani daal lo. Peace.
Jitne log yahan marginalised groups k neta ban rhe hain ,inme se bahut se fake non- Creamy layer certificate banwakar genuine non- Creamy layer students ki seats kha jaate hain. Fir social media pe har baat m proportional representation ki demand karte hain.

I tend to rationalize the isolation and social sacrifice thing as being a unique life story for myself. my personal struggle for something higher. that it has helped open my eyes to a reality which i would otherwise be unaware of in my sweet ignorance. which is true to an extent. had i lived the "normal" life i would not be the master of my ship, but only a passenger in the ferry. but ive come to realise its more of a romanticization of loneliness. of escapism. it does tend to squeeze out ones youth. years which will never return. scary. but lets hope alls well that ends well? that hindsight provides us a better picture in the future, one which we cannot see right now?

People talk about concentration of wealth, progressive taxation, inequality , and somehow seem to justify 20% people being occupying>40% while OBCs who constitute 50% of population have only 22% strength in central services. AB kya chahte ho 20% ko 60..80% seats mil jayeparadoxically , while reservation continues to be rebuked, bashed, and criticised, we see reservation only increasing and being extended to new sections like EWS. Ab toh log reservation for locals in private sector ki baat kr rhe
Full support bhai jo bhi keh rahe ho.

I still remember we were on a school trip from Delhi to Ranthambhore. Travelling in train and listening to commentary on a random co-passenger’s radio and finally when we got to Ranthambhore all of us ran inside the camp and crowded around a small TV set. The nostalgia of the crisp desert air and being swarmed by mosquitos and cheering despite it all is unbeatable. Good ole days
