Thus focus on your daily goals. Treat mock tests like real tests. Be like MS.

@TabsAndChords u look at the average bhai it is 10+10+10+3=33/4 means >8 hrs per day. It is good.moreover everyday is not the same and no matter what someone or the toppers says there are days when you just cant do anything and whole day or the other half gets wasted. Try to control your feelings about it and take it lightly, try to start early next day and keep in mind that if u are completing 65-70% of task per day ,you will be in much better position.you can do these things if you feel that the day is going in wrong direction:-1. schedule some more sleep.2. Talk to home members, it really lightens your mood.3. force urself to do some pushups4. Drink something hot- green tea/milk/coffee5. Sometime just let it happen.baaki upar waale par chhor do
Thanks for suggestions brother
i will definitely incorporate pushups and greent tea idea.
I noticed that whenever i waste 1-2 hrs after waking up, my whole day gets wasted.
yesterday i read newspaper in the morning(which i generally read at night) and logged into facebook after a long time and the news and newsfeed disturbed me. Everywhere it is corona, communal riots, caste extremism ,fake news, religious polarisation, mob lynching and disturbing videos of riots. Upar se economy ki halat bhi kharab hai.
All these things disturbed me and i wasted 2-3 hours.
Now i am going to followNewayn's advicestrictly that is start studying within half an hour of waking up and achieve something substantial by halfday. I won't overthink about how to study, what to eat, what to do this and that etc.. . I am going to minimise the decision making process and just start doing.
Kam jyada toh kismat ki kahani hai, lekin is thread se continuity toh bani hai padhai me. Pehle gochi(total off days) khub laga karti thi.
True!
when i post my targets here i feel like someone is watching me so i have to study sincerely :D

Past 3 days including today were not very productive. It was difficult to focus on studies due to some reasons.
Tomorrow i will do a dopamine detoxification of brain. Will not do any activity which gives me pleasure.
Thingsi am not going todo till prelims-
- Watch any movie
- search about bikes
- play my guitar (Will not even look at it since it eats up atleast 2-3 hours)
- spend time on social media
- any other brain destructing acivity
Thingsi will dotill prelims and even after that
- Meditation
- Exercise
- 11-12 hours of study everyday
- Good sleep
- Healthy food
- Revision (most important)
@HotBloodPrince I stumbled upon this concept quite a while back when I was quite depressed actually. Did these things:1. Nofap.com2. Stopped eating sugar3. Went on a strict diet with cheat meals once in four weeks4. Exercise5. Waking up at 4:30 every day.6. Decided not to smoke pot again (Wasn't hard to do because I didn't have access for quite a while before also)Idea is to deny yourself immediate pleasure because every time you give in to urges for immediate pleasure, there is a rush of dopamine in your brain. Over time, this makes you lazy af. Instead, focus on doing hard things which take time and effort. Your brain would be doing a lot of work to derive pleasure. But that pleasure will be long lasting, not something fleeting and which deprives your energy for the rest of the day. These things helped me get over depression. Point no. 1 is a struggle, I'll admit, but its something that I found the most useful.
i was about to write the same thing . You have explained very beautifully .
@TabsAndChords 5 months and cold shower in Delhi's winter. Hats off bro. Thanks for sharing.@Patootie thanks for sharing. One last question to both of you. Is this the right time to change given closeness of exam, or this experiment is meant for peace time. I'm asking this because I have heard for first 2 3 weeks or longer mind's rebound is quite strong and since you are spending so much will power in disciplining yourself, you're left little for your main activity I.e. study for exam. In psychology there is term for it "ego depletion"
First 45 days are quite difficult to resist urges . But after that it is smooth af. And yes, it takes lot of will power in starting . So for now its better not to go cold turkey . I would start again after prelims. For now i am just controlling it.
