@Purplesunbird Rural-dual, urban-only RBI

Rural except PACS. PACS is not under RBI, I think?

Right. They are under complete control of state govt.

Yes, because they're not covered under Banking regulation 1949

Anyone can tell about how mining auctions in india happen? I have read minerals belong to states and they should conduct auction but then coal gate scam happens where centres name comes. What's the deal? I have been confused about this since all times. Any notes on this and about minerals topic in general?

@sstarrr for minor minerals, state does the auction but for major minerals like coal, central government does that.

I think duality of control is still there. Only mrunal says RBI is the sole regulator now.

If you have 2 straight sticks of length 7.5 feet and 3.25 feet what is min length can you measure. (PYQ2020)

A).05 FOOT

B).25 FOOT

C)1FOOT

D)3.25 FOOT

how to do this question

7.5-3.25 = 4.25 this you can measure by placing 2 roads parallel to each other. after you have measured it you can use 3.25m rod again to measure 4.25-3.25 =1. mistri aise hi naapte hai XD

D)3.25 FOOT

how to do this question

Mark a line using 7.5 feet stick. On this line place 3.25 feet stick twice. Min length would be 7.5-(3.25*2) = 1 foot.

Hear me out in this, I think it should be 0.25 foot - the least count
Using 7.5 and 3.25 x 2, you get 1
Using 7.5 and 3.25 x 3, you get 2.25
Using 2.25 x 2 and 3.25, you get 1.25
Using 1.25 and 3.25 you get 2
We already have 2.25 and now using 2 we can measure 0.25
*just realised that the final one isn’t needed: 1.25 and 1 can also be used

750/100 ,325/100 -taking hcf of numerators and lcm of denominators =25/100=.25 foot

I discovered that recently as well, until then I also did the way people have solved in earlier responses.

If u go through 6th maths ncert then it would appear to be a pretty regular question. I did it to basically re understand HCF and LCM, it won't take a lot of time and would boost confidence. So if u can pls go ahead and read it, I too did it about a week ago.

no. but this is much cleaner. I stopped after measuring 1, you can reach the answer after 3.25-1 = 2.25 then 2.25-1 and so on
