Feeling lost in this UPSC journey.

I am unable to put a finger on my level of preparation. It's been two years ever since I started this journey. But there are days when I feel I have accomplished nothing and on the other hand, some days when I have done a lot. Recently, I have been feeling more of the former.

To move forward I think understanding where I stand is pivotal, only then I can course correct myself, even if it means going all the way back to the start. I request you to please help me with this.

What should be the next step? What should be the metrics I should judge myself against?

"I feel I have accomplished nothing." I feel it too sometimes, since it's 'general' studies.

1. There is no secret ingredient. There is loads of strategy on internet and elsewhere. While mindlessly preparing is fatal, I believe it's more aboutdoingthan strategizing. You can read some posts by@Neyawn to start with, but even he'd tell you that it's only us who learn 'things' during course of preparation. https://blog.forumias.com/author/neyawn/

3. so quickly figure out you where you stand (mostly we already know), what needs to be done on top priority now in July, fix simple to-do lists, and start finishing small milestones.

4. metrics - test series scores, amount/portion of syllabus completed, number of revisions; daily targets etc
good luck :)
