What are findings of the TB prevalence survey conducted recently ? What are the reasons behind increasing TB casee ?

Surveyfound that 64 percent of the country’s TB symptomatic population was unable to seek healthcare services between the period 2019 to 2021.

The prevalence of TB among the country’s population who are above 15 years of age is 312 cases per one lakh. This is more than two times than the global which stands at 127 per one lakh.

TB among the people who are 15 and above is 31.7%.

In women pulmonary TB prevalence is lower (154 per lakh) as compared to the men of the country (472 per lakh).

In India, the prevalence of microbiologically confirmed pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) among individuals who are aged 15 and above was 316

  • per lakh population, with Delhi having the highest incidence of 534 per lakh and Kerala having the lowest prevalence of 115 per lakh.
  • Among the surveyed, prevalence of PTB infection was 21.7 percent.
  • For all forms of TB, the highest prevalence in India was 747 per lakh in Delhi, and in Gujarat, it was the lowest with 137.
  • Among the population who are aged 15 years and above, the prevalence of TB stood at 31.4 percent.
  • In the people aged 15 and above, the prevalence-to-notification ratio of pulmonary TB across the nation as well as the state groups is around 2.84. In Chhattisgarh, the highest ratio was observed and Gujarat was the lowest. Reasons behind increasing TB cases in India ----  This is partly because the disease is being spread by people with active TB who aren't diagnosed or treated effectively.

Confidence.. balanced opinion..  being polite, respectful and humble.. calm and composed.. do not get rattled in any situation..

Overall.. expect around 170 if you feel you have fulfilled the above criteria.. 190+ if performed really well..

There is a general perception that Sri RN Choubey sir do not give good marks in interview.

is this true?

Does anyone else felt that their interview was too factual, specially BB Vyas Board??

My 60 to 70 pc interview was factual

Although none of the facts were irrelevant but still too much fact orientation.

Board was cordial barring

1.few deliberate negative tinge

2.laughing on one of my wrong answer.

3.poker face of members

Is BB Vyas board too strict in giving marks?

Any idea?

@Forumite yeah, same board and quite factual for me as well. No negative observations from my side per se.

Regarding marks, from what I’ve heard, sir is a little on the conservative side and generally gives 160-170. All hearsay though, no concrete information.

@necromancer I dont know what marks will be allotted but there is widespread discrepancy of approach between the boards.
Smita Nagraj So much opinion based
BB Vyas So much factual
Extreme spectrum

I always feel that factual questions ,even of your domain, are difficult to answer than normal  opinion based questions .It needs greater caution, knowledge component and its relatively difficult to be poised in such cases.

@Forumite this is something we can do nothing about, so I avoid discussions in the speculative spectrum. I also don’t think there’s a very stark dichotomy of factual and opinionated between boards, might be wrong too. Kyunki I’ve seen people in the same board have very different sets of interviews.

My experience with factual questions was better because I was able to answer most :P
A couple of opinionated questions were worded poorly and in general I find articulation difficult for them, so in that respect having more tilt towards factual questions worked in my favour I guess .

8@necromancer Everyone has different experience but after reading many transcripts i do observe there is a difference between approach of boards specially Vyas Sir and others.
BB Vyas board has its own style.
The good thing with facts is that if u know it, its great and adds to confidence.

However, most of the facts asked to me were too deep.I prepared my subjects well and thats why was able to answer most of them but still my interview felt weird and unidimensional.

+1
Not the same board, but I had a very similar experience and have similar views regarding my difficulty with articulation and comfort with factual questions. !!
