(COMMUNITY INITIATIVE) MGP 2024/2025 Discussion/Doubt resolving thread

[1] 10-15 marks ka difference aa sakta hai, agar aapke writing styles pehle se hi acche hain. kuch logon ka jinka writing skills bilkul theek nahi hota ya parhai nahi kari hoti unka marks 30-35 marks increase hota hai over a period of time. best way to judge if you are improving or not is (a) marks and (b) your understanding of the questions. dont have a passive aproach , ki test diya aur gayab, read answers, see others copies, and note down in your diary what are the things you need to improve.

[2] MGP humesha se flexible hai... kyunki ye year long hai..itne lambe samay tak rigid schedule maintain karna possible nahi hota hai.. short duration ke liye rigid schedule maintain ho sakta hai.. iske like answer writing focus group hai ( awfg ) dono complimentary hain.

[3] main classes me caught up tha... main koshish karta hoon..hindi medium ke liye appke paas 3 mentors hai..MKN center par .. achche mentors hindi medium me bohot mushkil se mile hain.... kyunki hindi medium me multiple interview appeared bachche hote hi nahin hai.. jinka interview call aa jata hai.. woh ya toh select ho jaate hain.. ya 100% state pcs ya kisi group A ya max B me chale jaate hain.. 3-4 interview ke senior veterans ko maine select kiya lekin ek rajasthan me ek up me deputy collector me chale gaye..

Overall look for 3-4 things in your answers.

1. are you hitting the question directly or beating around the bush

2. is there clarity in writing and ease of read - so that I can vertically read your answer

3. are you adding some ideas from yourself for novelty ( Level 2 , after you know how to address the question )

@Neyawn sir, I am reading mains part for MGP test for the 1st time and trying to make comprehensive notes ensuring I bring in some nocel value addn in them. But I am consuming a lot of time in this process( hunt for novel points on internet) as a result of which despite putting in descent hours I am not able to complete the test portions and delaying writing tests.

How do I know that the content I have (readymade) is sufficient enough to cover the topic exhaustively and I need not make notes since many sources don't cover pyq dimensions? 

How to cover the test backlogs? Should I just do the basic read for topics not touched and finish the test? Or any other way?

How do I change this habit I mentioned above?

@Neyawn Sir, Penalty Marks kab lagte hain UPSC me ? Penalty marks n lage to uske liye answer writing me kya avoid karna chahiye?

Try to avoid writing in any space other than just below the question space !

Sir, aapse ek request hai. Please provide Library facility in Mukherjee Nagar for ForumIAS' students at low cost (if possible). We all know ki ForumIAS ka crowd sab se cream crowd hota hai aur unke sath rah ke padhne ka experience sach me kafi helpful rahega. Esliye yadi possible ho to please Mukherjee Nagar ya uske aaspas jaise ki Parmanand etc wale area me Library Service provide karne ki kripa kare.

Has anyone made notes (pre oriented) on ASSAM ACCORD, NRC and its RECENT DEVELOPMENTS. (new to forumias)

Two things

1. Do not worry about the word limit as long as you are not bypassing the space limit and word limit.

2. It may happen that some people have copied from answers. Try to look for that one copy which has not and is still put up as a good copy. It is very difficult to allege / explain to a student that he has copied EVERY QUESTION & EVERYTHING from the model answer. Sometimes it does happen that the student's answer is closely aligned to the solution provided.

Har sal number kitne aaye hain?

Toolkit ke roz 50 question solve karne hain. Uske baat solution dekh lena hai. Important points whose knowledge may have helped solve the question may be noted in a notebook called the register of errors.

Jyada Til ka taad nahi karna hai. Move and do and do next 50 next day.

1. same basic books ko 7-10 times revise kariye

2. PYQs solve kariye. Itne achche se ki sawal puchhun toh year bata sakein ki ye question 2013 aur 2018 me repeat hua hai, aur answer ye hai

3. toolkit ko roj 50 questions solve kariye in 1 hour

4. daily newspaper reading / ya monthly magazine ko theek se parhiye

@Neyawn  would there be any mgp programme for forest service this year?
