Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.
@DKTsaid inMains 2019 Preparation and Discussion Thread:
@TETRACYCLINE
Though in the previous comments I have written about my exam performance and expectations of marksBut u said here so I am telling u my final expectations/predictions
GS1- 100 plus
GS2- 95 to 100
GS3- 115-125
GS4- 105 -112
Essay- 80+75= 155
Optional sociology
Paper1- 145 to 150
Paper 2- 155 to 160
On an average
100+98+118+108=426
145+145+155= 445
Total= 871 ( *if scaling... 10 to 15 marks may increase )Bro these are my final expectations......I don't know about UPSC.....UPSC me vision IAS ki tarah copy check nahi hoti......so I am hoping that good marks will be awarded for good answer... I still believe in each GS paper I hv written best answers for at least 15 to 16 questions.
- sorry for miscalculation if any bcz i was sleeping and suddenly....need khul gai..to forum check kiya
Let's wait and watch
Bhai tum 250 marks ka choddh ke nahi aate to mains mei hi 1000 cross kar lete which could've been a record. Alag hi level matlab . Topper strategy zaroor batana forumwasion ko.
@K_9
Bhai tumhe bhi shayad exaggeration hi lage Lekin mai November 2018 se fully dedicated that pre aur mains ke liye aur mains ka target tha 500 in GS, 500 in ( ES+OP ).....jaisa maine pehle bhi kaha hai ki mujhe bahut hi hurt hota hai ki questions kyo chhoda.... being a Hindi medium student I have written mains in english so I had slow speed even after practice of nearly 1000 GS answers, at least 100 essay and 200 optional answers in last 5 years (not boasting in my room u will find notebooks mainly in which I hv practiced answers)
....now i think maina apna full potential diya mains ke time me....my aim was to write atleast 80 percent good answers.....GS1 me jo questions chute o bahut hi hurt karta hai abhi bhi kyoki sab social wale area se the....
Hope is good and self belief is best.
@K_9Is this estimated after leaving 250 marks blank??
This is some confidence/exaggeration!
@DKTYe to sahi bole ho bhai. Ummeed pe duniya kayam hai.
@DKTSon of an army officer and still being a Hindi medium student. Come up with another lie to cover up this one.
Karma is a bitch, always remember that, especially when results are around.
P. S My father is a JCO in indian air force and my brother is an officer in the Indian army, so I pretty much know that army officers would never let their kids study in hindi medium.
@hirockyrocks7101leave it bhaai. Whether he's lying or not doesn't matter at all to anyone. Result aane vaala hai, so let's avoid these kind of discussions.
@kochikaamelies become more irritating when results are near.
Results must come this week, otherwise selected candidates would be royally screwed.
@TETRACYCLINEHaan. Is week to aane ke 95%+ chances hain.
@BlazeApathy, in our country, can be found anywhere and everywhere. But, we must understand the difference between moral apathy and systemic apathy. There is no denying that moral apathy is present. But, it's systemic apathy which is the root cause behind the graver concerns.
From what I have learnt from my sources in EWS litigation, the judges try their level best to ensure justice is not delayed. Almost all of them are great intellectuals with a sense of responsibility. It's the systemic apathy in what we study as problems plaguing the Indian judiciary, which comes as moral apathy of individual judges.
In this particular case, my source tells me that the judge is off to chair a bench in Chhatisgarh. Leave wouldn't be the correct word to use here. But, since absence amounts to taking leave, it's being used. He also adds that the current chairman is a workaholic. This case is important for our future. We don't know what important case he's been assigned in Chhatisgarh! Sometimes, while staying out, we don't get a comprehensive scheme of things.
The other aspect of the story-
Imagine the condition of the EWS candidates whose candidature was cancelled post DAF submission. Despite repeated requests to grant an interim relief early, the matter was heard on 18th September after 2 adjournments. I would say this was moral apathy on the part of judges. Probably, they could not put themselves in candidates' shoes. The candidates received their admit cards on 19th September. Till 18th, they were clueless whether they will write the exam or not.
In this case, after taking a painstaking account of things to ensure justice is done with a select few, the judicial delay has furthered injustice. The hotchpotch in every candidate's mind and the ensuing suffering as they await result would not even be accounted for. The act of doing justice will stop though, ironically, with more injustice.
The sad state of affairs in our India!
@DKT
bhai its good that you are confident but significant variation of marks can be there in essay and gs 3

@Ms-dhoniNo movement. Nothing from my source yet.

It can be....who knows?
But self analysis and self evaluation is helpful for performance enhancements.
