@Behemoth
The prominent media houses in the US are assiduously leftist. Their anti-India bias is overt. Given this, the picture portrayed by Washington Post, NYT, et al hardly does anything to the Modi dispensation.

@CaesarNot necessarily, I'd say. Such incidents of accidentally downing civilian aircrafts have occured in the past too. Even in the context of US-Iran tensions, USA had downed an Iranian civilian aircraft which was enroute to Dubai in 1988 or 89 (not sure of the year) without any major repercussions.

Iran ki galti , galti hoti hai. USA ki galti "peace keeping operation" hoti hai.

Can anyone fill me up please ? Is the CAT verdict going to be out tomorrow ? Results within 2-3 days of the verdict ?

@majormiketangoAs long as the leftists narrative does not alter the investment sentiments and goodwill, it may not be much problematic. India enjoys a positive perception in western hemisphere esp. among the people and lawmakers.
But in recent times, there are divisions at political level when it comes to India. Republicans and Conservatives are seen as pro-India forces and Democrats and Labours as ant-India in USA and UK respectively. The press and their political affliations are well known.

@AzadHindFauzyou might want to look into Phillip Zimbardo's Stanford Prison Experiment (there's also a Netflix movie about it). It was to find out how often people conform to social roles given to them in a mock prison environment. It was one of the most controversial experiments in social psychology. They recruited few random people to act as prisoners and guards in a controlled situation. It had to be stopped midway because he found that the people assigned the roles of prison guards were becoming increasingly violent, abusive and indulged in dehumanising behaviour towards to prisoners, even when they knew that they are just innocent people acting as prisoners. Experiment concluded that people conform to their social roles even when it goes against their moral principles, and that situational factors (power, authority) are more responsible for this behaviour than dispositional factors (they themselves).
Conformity has also been cited with respect to racism in America post Trump win because they're are situational factors like power, authority, wide acceptance to provide backing people's racist thoughts which otherwise would have been dismissed - so now they assert such things more so often.

@SayHi2God
its not completely like that
though there are some controversies and fallacies regarding judgement but it is based on facts available
like asi had said that there was underlying structure though it cant be said what was it
and muslim party had no convincing fact and prove to establish its claim
hindus have traditionally being offering prayers in outer court
so faith and social impact of judgement was a consideration but it is not based on faith only

sc judgement falls short of few things
since it has accepted that histooric injustice and blalant violation of rule of law was committed in 1949 and 1992 it should have transferred all cases of criminal conspiracy to it and should hear it in a fixed time to punish offenders
muslim parties should have been given the choice where they want to take land
it should punish kalyan singh for contempt of court
these could have instilled hope and faith among minorities that india indeed is a country of rule of law

I feel it was a blunder on Modi's part to openly endorse Trump in Howdy Modi event. That has also pitted democrats against us to some extent.

It had been done after the woke section of democrats lead by ilhan omar openly criticized india post 370 abrogation and republicans mostly gave a muted or supportive statements

@kochikaamehowdy came only after 'Crazy Bernie' took a radical left stand on Kashmir.
Also should have seen the Fab-4's constant negative attitude towards India's policy.
