@Aspirant123 In my first attempt I committed blunder by writing entire essay on optional theories (PSIR) even then score was 85 or something. 58 is heart breaking and effectively means getting kicked out...

@krishna96 What I feel is that every single question matters...even those are easy.... structure, flow, data, relevance, lucidity etc. Writing atleast 20 questions daily for both gs and optional is must. Have learnt this lesson hard way...but there is no other option. A preparation Unexamined is not worth pursuing I suppose!

@MC Cullum bhai structuring and practice do make difference. I have personally felt that especially in optional. Score in one of the papers went from 104 to 140 just by answer writing. There is no alternative but to sit on the table and start writing. For prelims things are far more objective....conceptual clarity and lot of question practice all one needs.
@MC Cullum agreed.... nonetheless there is no point in stressing over factors one cant control...this is thing which WILL NOT work... structuring and practicing along with content improvement MAY!
@rockhard in GS 1 last question could not write properly...in GS 4 last 2 case studies sub par.....rest tried to do judiciously...lets see bhai...

@morty quite difficult to tell bhai. Overall PYQ attempt karte waqt kitna confidence tha aur kaise answers likhe uspe depend karega I guess...
@brownianMotion I felt Insights' Nikhil Gowda is good too...but again overall its micro improvement over each topic and interlinkages which matter I suppose...
@GaneshGaitonde I absolutely agree with what you are saying...Reading basic books like Heywood, Smith, Gauba, Mehta etc is indispensable. But that coupled with SR's Notes gives sufficient content. Rest is all about expression and language in PSIR. Ofcourse newspaper and CA needs to be comprehensively covered. In fact plain reading of contemporary scholars such as Noam Chomsky, Thomas Piketty etc can give edge over generic answers people write by solely relying on SR's Notes. Test series and only writing answers therein is a recipe for disaster. SR's evaluation is shit because Ma'am hardly evaluate answers now a days. Answer writing should be personalized. For each topic one must prepare own intro and conclusions...at least basic. Contemplating over linkages also helps for instance Hobbes' Social contract with Matsyanyaya or his relevance in failed states. Ma'am's notes and her crash course may not be sufficient yet provide crucial addition to preparation which cant be set aside....
