[Official] OBC certificate for DAF - Eligibility, DAF Filling, Creamy Layer, NCL, Things to keep in Mind

Plz discuss all your issues for OBC certificate here.

My certificate is post 3 march 2020.. however my state format one is before that date. Plz suggest what to do.. or share your experience.

@मुसाफिर Same here...did you get any remedy ? Also do you have income and assets certificate of 2018-19 or 2019-20 ? I have the latter which is also a point of grave concern .

no remedy yet..and sadly there are almost zero chances for any in future. if you clear ur cut off then u ll be given chance to appear in mains otherwise out.

@मुसाफिर as far as i know, UPSC is not that strict with these dates. They are somewhat liberal and whatever cross checking is going to happen, will take place after Mains. So submit whatever document you have and mention 3rd March as issue date. There is good chance that UPSC , after Mains , will either (a) ignore the dates or (b) shift us back to general category. Either way, we shall be writing Mains

Guys, I also have the same situation - previous year's certificate is missing and new one for this year isn't valid as per 03/03/20 criteria

Attach whichever one u have . Nobody is going to ask  anything before interviews and even then u can sign a undertaking stating u will provide it in certain time. There was covid could give n number of reasons  sdo was not in  u were in quarantine remember janta curfew on 17 march before that people in bangalore got corona so. keep calm and study they will accept its abnormal year

Hi Guys,

Please help me with the below queries,


1. Scanned Copy of certificate in support of claim for age relaxation (where applicable)[Col. 1 (c) of this form.] - NC OBC certificate would do right?

2. Scanned Copy of Certificate in support of claim to belong to SC / ST / OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/EWS , (UNDERTAKING FOR OBC CANDIDATES) AND UNDERTAKING FOR EWS CANDIDATES [Col. 8(a) of this form] - Here only the undertaking certificate would do right? 


Also what are you guys filling in the employment monthly salary details? Anyone having decent amount of Work Ex here? My high salary should not be a problem right when it comes to NCL criteria, right? My parents are not working and I already have a NC OBC certificate.

Previously (2016, 2017) the work experience certificate was never asked. No clarity now. DAF - I says have to upload it in DAF - II. Someone who appeared for PT last year can clarify.

We are also asked about propery of the family ie. residential flat , plot etc.   Does possession of residential plot >200 yards has any impact on obc ncl status???   Though, i do have obc certificate and belong to obc ncl.
