Does anyone have any method to remember the manipur and mizoram based GI and art & culture stuff?
I always confuse the two. Whether it's Chak hao rice or the martial arts form.
TIA
I had similar problem. Then I spent some time trying to understand the regional dialects in Manipur and Mizoram. It helped. Took me two days to narrow down my observations that might be of help for prelims. Sharing some for the benefit of all :)
1. In Manipuri(Meiti) language, the emphasis is more on the vowels or a combination thereof, especiallyei, ai, uietc.
- Meititribe
- Kangleiis another name for Manipur
- Traditional deities are calledLais.Lai Harobais a Manipuri festival.
- Keibul Lamjhao NP is in Manipur
2. In Mizo language, the emphasis is more on these consonants-T,V,W,Z. +Community festivals are known by 'Kut' in Mizo.
- Aizawlis the capital.
- Chapchar Kut, Thalfavang Kut, Mim Kut and Pawl Kutare festivals
- Khawnglung Wildlife Sanctuary, Phawngpui NP, ThenzawlDeer Park
Disclaimer- I'm a North Indian. I do not know these languages. Supplement your knowledge with thissasta jugaad. It has helped me thus far. It might go wrong too at times, but there is no other technique in the market :p
You, my friend, are incredible! This is such a cool way to study these things. Hats off to you!
Can someone please tell me when was adaptation fund established. In vision it's given it was established in 2001 and so does it say on UNFCCC website. But in shankar ias it's given that it was established at Cancun in 2010 and on adaptation fund website it says on the top 10 years of adaptation fund. Are these different or am I missing something.i think GEF at Cancun summit in 2010.
Global Environment Facility (GEF) was established at the Rio Summit, 1992. Adaptation Fund was established at the Marrakech Conference (COP 7). Green Climate Fund was established at the Cancun Conference (COP 16).
