@srivalliguru940I think.. its not like that... examiner just want to check 2 thing... 1. time line of Ahmed shah abdali 2. time line of Rohilkhand...

same things he/she has done in other 2 statements (Arcot/Nizam) and (Vijayanagara/Mysore)... just timeline... nothing else... (i dont think... he/she played with language as we assume)

we are unnecessary complicated the simple thing..I think

baki UPSC ki Maya..

yeah this is something that I have come to know today. After deleting so many questions, people are quoting scores as less than 90. Something that we don’t generally expect to happen

Article 14 means people should not be treated unequally in eyes of the law right ! But if the government imposes a draconian law (but without discrimination, oppresses everyone equally)..is it violation of 14 or sm other article? Can sm1 shed light..only for conceptual clarity

For the question I have marked Art 32. And despite all coachings saying Art 14, I can't wrap my head around Art 14 as answer. I still think it will be Art 32.

They needed 4000 people last year too and that was the time when most of the tukka techniques were working..

still cutoff was 46%.

@AureliusM article 32 isonly FR violation n its enfoecement. an excess of discretionary may not necessarily lead to FR violation. 14 is EPL. the enforcement of laws has to be right without excess of discretion as not everything is not everything is written inn law but its proper application and its protection is EPL ie 14. im no PSIR etc student. used common sense. excess of discretion cant be directly related to FR violation.

@BhallaRobert last year 4100 got selected ..this year just 3750 ..so the cut off cannot be less than 90 it can be 93+-2

arcot wala question 2 and 3

how many to be in my favour as per you and my chances?? feeling desperate so asked dont mind  :D

Such a show-off! You will regret wasting this time a few days from now when results will be out. If you are really getting 86 after considering all the above wrong, then you are 100% through.

Though many people are arguing that cutoff will fall drastically this time, i feel that wont be the case. See this time around a lot of people having score in 80's and 90's are not participating in speculation because they are disappointed with the paper and the experience of last year where actual scores varied by 10-15 marks has put them on edge. They are afraid that their 95 will become 85 from upsc keys. They are imagining the worst case scenario But the reverse can also happen like 95 becoming 105 given the number of controversial questions. This silent majority has created a distorted perception of low cutoff. I know quite a few people who have 94, 97,98 score and are not sure about clearing prelims, and are preparing for mains with subdued spirit. So watch out for these people. They will come out of their burrows on result day and will make their presence felt by typing "IN"

Thats why cutoff is expected to be 90+ unless upsc changes ans for 3-4 supposedly non disputed questions. Those who have taken risk of attempting 90+ questions have high chances of scoring 90+ marks.

Upsc needs only top 2-3 percentile people. 85 is the score where majority of serious aspirants are there(with or without considering doubtful questions wrong). Cutoff will be around 3 questions (8 marks) more than 85. Jiska tukka upsc ke ans se match kr gya vo in ho jaega.
