analysis of pitfalls:
1. subject wise : hisotry, geography...
2. topic wise : monsoon, parliament, bio technology...
3. nature of question wise : if the question wasfactual (money bill)/conceptual/ appliedor a Jai Sri Ram/Hail mary.
possilbe way forward :
1. fatual : make fact sheets/ bookmark pages that need to be revised just before the day of exam.
2. conceptual :solvea number of question->revise (class notes/books)->repeat.
3. apllied : analyse PYQs find out how they are playing with words.
4. Hail mary : quanitify the accuracy of yourfast thinking i.e. how manyTUKKAs you are getting correct. (need to solve a number of questions) :then take a call if(and how many) tukkas you cansafely-risk (what an oxymoron :D)
conclusion:
only revising materials wont help, (only solving question wont help either.)
you have topin point what 'YOU' need to revise and read.some portions may need anoverhaul (dont shy away).
A general rule of thumb is (5000 questions) + (no of failed attempts x 1000)
ALL THE BEST
