Tropical Cyclones are always more destructive in nature in comparison to Extra - Tropical Cyclones (theoretically), unless we include subjective contexts. Then the question becomes subjective.
@ranahere999 Upwelling results in bringing up of Cold waters from the depths: This results in water temperature to drop which is not healthy for Corals. Cold waters are very bad for them.
@ranahere999 The ESA journal answers your query, sea surface temperature increase due to Climate Change in some places have been moderated by upwelling of cold waters.
Note: Even higher temperatures are bad for corals. Corals are too sensitive, it is for this reason they are also considered as perfect determination of impact of climate change.
Also, always go with the concept explained in NCERT. That is, cold waters upwelled are not healthy.
This is because you might be right by referring to research journals, but UPSC determines answers based upon NCERT referred research sources.
So, its always better to stick to NCERT knowledge. Our point should be to secure marks as per their sources & not disprove UPSC. (** My apologies, if I came across as proving a point against your view).
