Test 18, Question number 10
Statement B: Saudi Arabia is 3rd country in the gulf region to accept Rupay cards. The statement doesn't mention Gulf Region but talks about it in a general sense that means globally. So Saudi Arabia won't be the 3rd country but it way after several countries like Singapore and Bhutan
Test 30, Ques 37, The explanation used in the solution for Statement 1 is not for Tropical evergreen forest but Temperate Evergreen Forests. Please check and provide a correct solution or check if the statement itself is wrong because staple trees in tropical evergreen are ebony, rosewood, mahogany which are definitely tall although some maybe broad-leaved
Test 31, Q 28: how is the declining bee population going to cause soil erosion?
It seems too much of a long driven and indirect consequence to be included here.
And when generally dealing with such type of questions should we take into consideration all types of impacts, no matter how insignificant or indirect they are to the point of concern.
@mickeyviru I don't think so mate. SFG is just another test series and I don't think even forum guys have had that good of a clearance rate. I mean leave the good and above-average performance, even the top performers are not guaranteed to clear prelims. So yeah SFG may help you figure where you need to focus or not, but your performance definitely does not tell if you are going to clear prelims.
Test 33, Ques 4: as per upsc answer key, statement 3 is wrong
word maybe is used here , while in upsc paper it was will be .
not much of a convincing answer. anyhow this is similar to one of the earlier sfg questions that had linked declining bee population to soil erosion.
Should we really consider such indirect consequences as correct statements? I mean, in this example itself going by the given explanation, it is similar to saying that ocean acidification may cause forest fires, which is not the case, right.
Test 34 Question 21:
Consider the following statements regarding the Money Bill:
1. The Speaker of the Lok Sabha is authorised to decide whether the Bill is a Money Bill or not.
2. It has to be introduced in the Lok Sabha as per Article 110 of the Constitution.
What does the second statement mean in this context?
A-110 does not contain the procedure to introduce the money bill but what constitutes a money bill. It does create a doubt whether it talks aboutArticle 109 i.e: special procedures to introduce a money bill
@Prophet , nice, good eye for detail, mate. i think they have given statement 2 as correct but your explanation is correct. let's see if these guys will correct it or not
@ARS21 core iip by commerce ministry... iip by by mospi....
@Jhaljit_forum can you quote a source on this? i have tried searching and it is given that initially Ministry of Commerce calculated it but later it was transferred to MoSPI
@Hayagreeva there are 2 separate things, one is the Doing Business Report and another is the EoDB index. While EoDB index is calculated on the basis of only 10 parameters, the 11th parameter (labour market regulation) is included in the Doing Business report.
