Hi, Does anyone know from which book the questions for Modern India are being picked up from? Or suggest good sources other than Spectrum and Bipin chandra , Just to be prepared for the actual exam.
Most of the questions are from Hindi Publication Books.
1. Pariksha Vani (Modern History of India)
2. Ghatna Chakra (History)
But I'd suggest not to go for any 'one' of the above mentioned books before finishing spectrum. Because these books are basically compilation of previously asked questions either in UPSC or State Service Commission exams.

Q.3) The Atharva Veda mentions about the practices and the details of the rituals of the Non- Aryan People and their related activities during the later Vedic period.
Q.7) But I read the statement in the NCERT. ( I hope forum gives an explanation for this). Not sure about it myself.
Q.14) It is situated on the confluence of three rivers, the Ganga, the Gandak, and the Son. So, this statement is correct.
Q.16) Always remember this, Domestication of animals started in the Mesolithic period only. This is a very common fact.
Please get your facts right. You have got misinformations.
I have rechecked for the above facts from three soruces- R. S. Sharma, Old Ncert(Makhan Lal) and S. K. Pandey.
All of them have unanimously metioned Neolithic period as domestication of animals. And please look for the time scales too.
Same is true for the other questions too.
only contentious fact is the place of confluence of Sone and Ganga. You may simply check it on google earth. Though Son River used flow south of Patna in the past but now river Punpun flows there in it's minor paleo-channels.
Tuzuk-i-Babari was translated into Persian By Abdur Rahim Khan-i-Khana, popularly known as 'Rahim' or 'Rahimdas'. It has definitely not been translated by Abul Fazal. Please correct it.
Though most of the Scholar's take Tuzuk-i-Babari as Baburnama. It has later been translated into many other languages as well, such as English etc. And they all have used the title Baburnama.
