CSE 2021: Plan / Strategy / Daily Routine

Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.

This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.

No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

Gave the GS Mock, finally finished Environment (almost!) and revised government initiatives in related spheres.

Targets:

  • Polity Revision (1/3)
  • Mapping
  • Finish the remaining bits & pieces

Did everything as mentioned above but I know that it was a low productivity day. A lot of what @sjerngal mentioned seems relatable to how today has been.

Targets:

  • Polity Revision (2/3)
  • Mock Test
  • Mapping

@Rashmirathi thanks for that lovely poem! My breadth of Hindi poems has long been limited to Dinkar, now it does seem that I've missed out on a lot! :)

Covered everything but again, at low efficiency. Sigh. The last vision open test was so arbitrary that you don't even want to feel happy about a decent score. It is just your luck in those papers.

Targets:

  • Finish Polity Tomorrow
  • Mapping (if one subject gets too boring!)

Overall an avg day.

All life disruptions have to occur during exam.

Will have to get back stronger tomorrow.

Its not over till it gets done.

I had a bad day today which ended up me crying without any reason. I just recently told one of my friend how good friend my mind has become of me as I am not getting anxious at all and all is well. But today I don't know something happened and I started crying which went on for around an hour. The dates are nearing and this being my first attempt, I am shit scared and anxious.

I earlier tried to calm my brain saying first attempt hai, nahin hua toh kya , you have many more! But I guess this doesn't work and having so many things to do is making me all nervous.

I think now I will focus only on high yeilding topics , which have been asked in previous papers ONLY, taaki I remain sane and healthy till exam!

So plan ban chuka hai, diary ready ho chuki hai , execute karegen aage ke kuch din!

Blitzkrieg here. I am studying without a study schedule now. I made one for the last 4 weeks before exam. But it is difficult to follow it. So, qns + facts that I kept to mug up in the end + maps.
@sjerngal Haha. Your observation is spot on. Crossing dates has become a bed time ritual now.
@LetsGetThisBread Tuti frooti dreams are long lost. I wish to get them back sometime soon. :P

Hey guys haven’t been posting for the past few days because I’ve literally been working myself to death trying to cover everything (which is an impossible task), and I’ve basically been way too tired to do anything besides stumble to bed afterwards. But this is a slippery slope to burnout, and burnout induced panic. I realised that this is not a healthy, and sustainable routine for the next 18 days (even though a little voice inside says, its just 18 days, wear your big girl boots, and suck it up). I’m well aware just how important this goal is, and that it might be the last time that some of us might be chasing this dream. Dreams are good if they keep you alive, not if they kill you in their pursuit. So, a subtle, gentle reminder to everyone; study, but not at the cost of mental health. Make time for the things you like doing, even if its just an hour or 30 minutes everyday, listen to that music/ podcast you love, watch that youtube video/ show you’ve been meaning to watch for a while. Whatever be your form of self care, please don’t neglect it during this time. It seems counter-productive but trust me this “time waste” is the one thing that keeps you calm till the finish line, which is more important and helpful during crunch time than that one desperate mapping session at night.

Candid and Lovely!

Some days are literally tough... Settling in a separate room far away from home,, cut off from almost everything helps ,,but sometimes it just sucks. Thinking about the time to come (though knowing that it won't help) ,, battling anxiety. Big respect to all those who have been battling these and studying and sailing through..

Also, during these very days, something else will happen which increases your anxiety more.. Being an introvert and dealing with the crooked world (read neighbours) , sometimes it's just too much to handle..

After so many days, perhaps three weeks, I just don't want to look at my books right now.. I want to burn them..
And this fact is making me even more anxious that I am wasting time right now because of this feeling. :(

I should have rather been studying right now. :\

I wish this is the the last day of feeling like this...

I'm doing fine. In these testing times, more than Ramos' leadership, we need Dinkar Ji's words as our guiding light! :D
