Pretty mediocre day. Also, the recurrent pattern of waking up late every alternate day eats into some number of hours. But jitna kiya, sahi se kiya.

Also, I want to beat up that person who had posted on Quora that Rajtanil Ma'am's videos can be finished in around 4 days.

@TomiokaGiyu Reading CA monthlies or year end complications is inevitable. Not because they give high RoI but because you will be engulfed with  FOMO if you avoid reading them.

@RiRi Welcome to the party!

Also, some useful hack- If you are someone who hates mapping and all, try pasting a very large sized map on your washroom mirror. It helps.Lol

Shubh Ratri doston!

Good morning, dudes and dudettes!

Targets for 10/09/22 (Day 04) -

Polity - Chapters 8-11 and revision of 1-7

PSIR - Revision of Plato, Socrates, and Aristotle

TH - Sept 08 & 09

NABARD wasted a couple of days and I wasted an extra couple after that. The seriousness that is expected of a CSE aspirant is seriously lacking. Have so much to do apart from just completing the syllabus. Have to undo a lot of what I am in the process.

Anyways, for today I feel quite positive and will give my best to complete the targets. Goodday, y'all!

PSIR- world order, terrorism

Dipin Sir

Digi notes- environment (1/10)

Daily C/A

Will have to step out for a bit and meet couple of friends, but hoping to keep it a brief interaction. Will push myself to complete the targets as much as possible. Let’s get this bread!

Hi Guys. A pretty staggered day with very little progress despite putting in hours.

Actually, I got pretty confused with one lecture of Mrunal Geography and have been stuck there.

If someone did refer to those videos, can you please clarify if the content in G6/P2 video right or has glaring mistakes? I feel depth of knowledge in those explanations, ranging from confusing Latent Rate of Condensation with Latent Rate of Evaporation+ Explanation on Adiabatic Lapse Rate, which I feel is an explanation for Lapse and NOT ADIABATIC LAPSE RATE.

Btana if someone has done that. I will be obliged since my Climatology part is the weakest and I don't wanna have weak foundations in Geography this time around too.

Thank you!

I didn’t get your question. For that matter I watched the whole video. But couldn’t get your doubt. Could you be more specific? Maybe I can answer correctly. Because Geography used to be my Optional and Thermal subject used to be favourite subject in college days, although I’ve lost touch with both.

To begin with, thank you for responding bhai. One of your longtime admirers.

Like at around 8:50, she while talking about rising air parcel mentions that Latent Heat of Evaporation further aids in the process.

In my limited understanding, won't it be Latent Heat of Condensation(and not Latent Heat of Evaporation) upon reaching a certain height that will be released and subsequently it will make air mass to rise further and subsequently, form clouds.

Also, there was no mention of stable system while she taught Adiabatic Lapse Rate(at around 14 mins )

*I am worst in Climatology. I won't mind to be corrected here

Hahaha you are absolutely right…. But Give her some slack, please. General studies me itna generalisation chalta hai. In the words of Mrunal sir, “Thoda padho aage badho”.

However, ‘Latent of Condensation’ was a valid point.

Don’t complicate it so much. The line of thinking is:

  1. Warm air ascends.
  2.  We consider adiabatic expansion while the air ascends. Therefore, with expansion of air parcels, the temperature decreases.
  3.  When the temperature reaches dew point, the air parcel attains maximum relative humidity and thus looses moisture.
  4. The suspended particles in the air act as sites for nucleation and further condensation.
  5.  Latent heat of condensation is released, which further increases the temperature of air parcels.
  6. The air parcel thus ascends further, to reach dew point again and form clouds.

If you already know this much, then you’re good to go. Geography if not that difficult.

Did a little bit of everything without really finishing anything. My “stepping out for a bit” turned into a 10 hour thing. I’ve literally just woken up and have realised that I need to have more self control if I need to get back on track seriously. Will do everything possible to complete the targets today

@Naadan_Parinda Haha. Tbh, I am not intending to be harsh on her. The fact is I Geography has been my Battle of Waterloo. I was down with Hepatitis when I first read the subject. Also, I had a general disinclination towards the subject till very recently. I have always feared making maps and believe me, I have now atleast overcome this fear by making maps every now and then.

In short, I wasn't doubting her. Rather I was doubting myself ki I must be wrong here. Haha. Thanks for clarifying.

Also, my schedule for today guys-

I will be completing-

-NCERT Climatology Portion

-PMFIAS Climatology Booklet

So, it will be a tiring day but lets do it.

Shubh Prabhat doston!

These are beautiful!

I've always harboured this dilemma of whether pictures should be post processed or not. It is a visual treat but a part of me feels that it heightens your expectation of a place or view or whatever and causes disappointment when you actually see the real object/sight.

Should this be counted as deceit or should the art be appreciated? The everlasting dilemma continues! 😅

[P.S. I am not against post processing at all! It enhances picture quality but at times makes it very different from what the subject actually is]
