Slow day. Was occupied with downloading Mrunal Geography Lectures till 1:30 pm.They have poor resolution and the YT download was downloading in a much poorer resolution, before I could find a solution.
Anyway, quite satisfied with the day. Also, would like to thank the person who shared that video with a hack of blocking of your breath. It works for me, when I feel distracted while studying.
*I did SSA Khan with notes, but not Aurobindo Ghoshji. Also done G1 and 75% of G2 of Geomorphology Playlist of Rajtanil Ma'am.
Also, guys I so so need to finish Geography before September ends.Tough hai, but if this happens, my job is easier from now on.
Also, asking for an advice(those who have written Mains)-Can I keep some tests of MGP for January and February(Like Art and Culture)?Like giving Mains tests while I revise those topics for approaching Prelims+ some note making for Mains too side by side(like 2-3 days in whole month of February)?Btana please.Also@LetsGetThisBread ,do you recommend doing this?
Also, I see people in Delhi meditating in parks at around 10 am. I genuinely feel like asking them-
Shubh Ratri doston!
Got a newfound love for life. Love you zindagi!
I was hospitalised for the last 15 days, in the initial days my fever was hovering around 101 all the time even after heavy paracetamol. Blood tests, canola, syringes and all the painful tests I had gone through. Sometimes I felt Im losing myself in the war, even the doctors scared me as reason for high fever could not be diagnosed. It was so painful that words wont be enough to explain.
Not only my experience but I heard about a 4 month old baby admitted in the hospital. In the emergency, I heard noises of family of a man in 30s crying who died of an accident. My nurse told me about another man who died in ICU. One of my roomates had to go through MRI to spot a blood clot in brain which was causing hazy vision to him. A diabetic aunty who was not able to move her right hand beyond a point after a road accident. An alcoholic college boy had destroyed his pancreas or liver I couldn't remember to whom the doctor said youll die in 3 months if you dont quit alcohol. You get to know many things when you stay such a long time in hospital.
I came home today. Heaven. We take most of the things for granted, quality time with family and friends, all the UPSC pain everything is a blessing. Every painless breath is a blessing.
Naukri aur chokri, you get these desirable and life is set we used to say in college. These 15 days changed my whole perspective for looking towards life. Healthy and a painless life is indeed underrated
And I swear from today Ill never crib about shitty things like career and UPSC.
'Love you zindagi'
I’m glad you’re doing better now. I hope you never have to suffer. After seeing my mum hospitalised for a month in 2020 and literally in the danger zone for 10 days I realised how precious life is and how much we take others around us for granted. I remember journaling a line on the day she was hospitalised. She was so weak with fever she literally had to be lifted out of the car and carried to the doctor and she whispered to me “I feel I’m going to die.” The situation was that grave indeed, so here’s what I wrote:
“I’ve always been very realistic about mortality but this hits a little too close for comfort. Knowing that your parents are human too, susceptible to injuries too is a lesson we all learn early on in our childhood. At that time, it simply pricks the bubble of invincibility of your parent. You realise your parent isn’t the god you imagined them to be. But the second time, it’s as an adult is usually when your parent falls really sick, and then it is a subtle reminder of how little time you have left with them, which is even scarier, since the consequences are far graver.”

Tbh I never gave mains tests before pre… because confidence hi nhi aata ki pre qualify hoga ki nhi. Having said that instead of full fledged mains tests you could do some answer writing if you feel like. Because I do believe ki prelims does require dedicated time where you’re only doing that and nothing else.

Had my NABARD exam today which is why did not post any targets for the past couple of days. Even though I knew I had no chance of clearing this exam but still felt kind of ashamed to show up without having read a single topic. So, after appearing for it today, one thing that I can safely say is that my chances of flunking an exam have never been so apparent. It was bad.
Anyways, back to business. Ab tak jo thoda bht padha hai, aaj usko revise karne ka plan hai.
