There is no alternative but to sit on the table and start writing. For prelims things are far more objective....conceptual clarity and lot of question practice all one needs.

100% agree. this is my observation too. knowledge difference doesnt exist. its all about writing

Not very sure but have seen people whose score went from 149 toh 110 in PSIR last time. Dont want to take his name but he was quite popular one. Got rank that year as well. So there is some randomness as well. In mains test series marks reflect only for very few.

But with respect to Pre on other hand i found more objectivity. People clearing IFOS usually scores around 120+ in almost all there mocks. Never seen some one scoring 70 in Vision test and clearing forest. but have seen some with 80 marks at coaching test but getting 140+ in PSIR.

But conceptual clarity and content is supreme. Structuring and Presentation helps in serving but not in taste.

@nalin_pandey78066 you are cent percent right. But my point is not method of improving scores or outcome. My main argument is about predictability of success, after doing all this u mentioned.

Good answer writing is very subjective as far as humanities are concerned. One examiner may like your arguments in essay or say, on financial status of panchayat, and reward you for clarity u have and attempt u made. but another examiner may think " ye to sabko pata hai" , Naya kya hai..and bas Banda chepa hai notes se.. and end up giving average marks. Second examiner, is having attitude of finding faults rather than rewarding for ideas and knowledge.

One is rewarding approach , where good structured answers with content will be rewarded with higher marks.

Another is conservative approach, jaha bas hagne walo k marks Kate jayege..baki sab same hai...where ghodo ko similar marks diye jayege, bas gadho ko hataya jayega.

Aise me kaise koi bole success is guaranteed...success can be made predictable, but no guarantee or tend to be guaranteed.

1) But few may like your ideas and subscribe your view point.

2) Few may not like , they believe in coaching mantra, practice karo success ayega.

3)Few may, think kya bakwas mara hai.. mai aise bande batata hu jinke 70 na ate the vision prelims mock me and they cleared and got service.

So, who among all three checking your comment will determine your marks. Same discretion coming to examiner. How well you have written that doesn't matter, whether examiner subscribe your view that's mtter.

@MC Cullum Mains me paper checking me kaafi subjectivity involved hai..jo rank paa chuke hai, unke pre nhi nikalne par tajjub nhi hota, but leave lekar wo log ek saal mains ke liye dete hai, unlogo ka mains nhi clear hota hai toh tajjub hota hai, kyuki almost same fodder optional, ethics aur essay me use hona hai, aur GS 1,2,3 toh kisi ka saga hai nhi...

Mains me evaluator achha mil gya toh luckily har question me marks 0.5/ 1 extra mil jaayenge....agar kismat kharab rahi toh avg marking wale evaluator ke pass chali gayi toh...

Head Examiner kewal top aur bottom score copy hi re check karta hai...baaki copies me at the start of day discussion by head examiner ko kaun seriously implement kiya kaun nhi kiya wo shayad hi koi dekhta hai

@MC Cullum agreed.... nonetheless there is no point in stressing over factors one cant control...this is thing which WILL NOT work... structuring and practicing along with content improvement MAY!

@Panchayat ha bluff nhi karna chahiye tha dube wala. Last 3 min bache tge pressure mei aa gaya isliye 1 page kuch likha .but mostly sideline pe hi khela witg .other thinkers. But again nhi karta toh it would have been best

@Panchayat optional mei bharosa nhi 2020 mei kam hi bane the iss baar dekhte 40 marks ka 500 mei already bss likha hai yaa gaya hai. Dekhte kya banta. Tumhara ?

@nalin_pandey78066 bro every serious aspirants do all this..there are few who don't do.. Yes but I also subscribe your view that efforts pay.. indeed it pays.. there is no substitute for things u mentioned.
