@Phantom It always happens. UPSC playing the wrong ball. They should stick. to syllabus and set guidelines . They should introduce randomness within the zone of syllabus but asking anything like roger fedrar or virat kohli etc. is making aspirants pessimistic in hard work which they always put in by self study.

Sports questions itself constitute 10 marks..so effectively paper was for 190 marks for thoae who prepared solely for upsc (not inckuding state, bank etc)

same. I luckily planned to drop exam this year.. shadi kar raha h mai . so left. But , Checked paper and sentiments. It was really shockingly absurd.

However , Static questions are really well framed and require lot of conceptual clarity.

One more factor which is leading to dipped accuracy is

Paper 1 is becoming a literature in itself and even questions take its own sweet time to comprehend lest the decision making for answer and ambiguity in sentences. Most of people stuck in round 1 itself even they have better knowledge.

Most of people who reached round 2 may have rushed so fast that they put wrong answers to a few.

So - Comprehension speed of reader for Paper 1 (as 40 to 50 questions are brutally conceptual with long 4 statements)  is turning out a determining factor since 2019 and increasingly every year 2020 amd now 2021. 2021 was lengthier than past 3 yrs.

So, My take is for 2022 guys is - Improve comprehension with respect to paper 1  so that one can have sufficient time to go for 2 good rounds.

Is there anyone who matched their last year's CSAT answers with Vajiram's keys? If yes, how accurate was it w.r.t final UPSC scores?

The currency used by all coaching hubs to buy out any legitimate apprehension in the minds of young students regarding the unfairness of the process: motivation. They motivate you to aspire for exclusivity, make you believe that the achievement is associated with your self-worth, assume that the world is a level playing field, and meritocracy is the fair counterpart of an otherwise unfair system.

The show encourages the audacity to dream, as if the reason people donโ€™t get into UPSC is not itslimited intakebut because they donโ€™t โ€œbelieve in themselves.โ€

Just a thought on meritocracy after seeing 2021 Pre exam.

Bhai mat bolo yaha par..

Sach sunne ka mann kisi ko bhi nahi hai.

Toppers will justify the paper because it legitimises their effort.

Coaching waala will drool at the prospect of grabbing distraught aspirants, who would now look for a messiah that can provide sports related notes.

Aspirants who couldn't perform well in pre will be said that the problem lies in their preparation. And that they must introspect their own weaknesses rather than ranting it out.

In sab chakravyuh ke beech, koi bhi us baalak ko ye nahi samjhaega ki UPSC ek bottomless pit hai. Koi bhi coaching waalah ye salaah nahi dega ki UPSC ke peeche paagalon ki tarah bhaagna ek addiction hai.

Jaisa ki Yo Yo bhai ne kaha" Like every other year, the show will go on"

Kyunki India me UPSC desh seva ke lie kam aur raub aur rutbe ke lie log jyada karte hain..

@mahi2501 I lost in 2018 just by 9 marks. and that to be blamed on interview. My mains was really great. So ... Yeah ... Didn't understand meritocracy since that day.

But anyway... The world is subjective... I moved on.

Even pre and mains used to totally depend on hard work of person but now a days .. seeing pre paper... It seems like gambling for 2 hours in hall.

I would say - Jiska bhi pre nikal jaaye mains me jaan laga do  because  your years of hard work will be rewarded well in mains.
PS. - What i said is not to discourage anyone.

Regarding the "right to property question"

1. It is a legal right as per NCERT.

2. It is also a Human Right (according to Andhra HC judgement Chekka Guru Murali Mohan & Anr dated 2021)...henceavailable to all people.

Normally telegram polls see a lot of high scorers because of frivolous voting done for fun. Still 26% aspirants are claiming that they are failing in csat
