I’m a Mentor of Prelims Guidance Program. Ask me anything about Prelims Preparation.

What is your biggest Prelims Fear?

  • Stuck in the vicious cycle of Prelims failure
  • Preparation Without Mentorship
  • Static subjects & Current Affairs
  • CSAT
  • Revision
  • FOMO & Exam pressure

Most UPSC aspirants believe that if they study more, they will clear Prelims. That’s not true.

Prelims is not about how much you know.   Prelims is about:

  • PYQ pattern familiarity & current affairs consolidation
  • Repeated revision of limited sources
  • Ruthless mock test discipline & strict time management
  • Mindful MCQ Solving byovercoming silly mistakes
  • Sharp option-elimination practice

  Many students fail because:

  • They read randomly (No Direction)
  • They revise without structure (No strategy)
  • They fail to learn from mistakes (No guidance)

Hard work without direction is the biggest trap in UPSC.

Mentors in Prelims Guidance Program help students understand what to focus on and how to approach Prelims in a more structured way. If you’re working hard but still feeling stuck, it’s usually a direction problem, not a capability problem.

3 back to back prelims fails!

Feels like I’m stuck in this prelims loop.😔

Same here... And I don't want this to repeat in my 4th attempt.

After careful introspection, I realised my mistakes- 1. Two many sources and 2. Lack of proper revision.
