Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.
@ChampakThe world before and after one clears the exam is amazingly different. The realities of life must be well communicated to all the aspirants. I'm pretty sure the hype around civil services manufactured by factors like power, reputation etc. would no longer be determinants to lure youth if the ground realities are laid bare in front of them.
Also, this would help in saving many youths who plunge into the field without reflecting upon their abilities, interests, and commitment. The force of attraction is too damn high here. This needs to be checked.
I AM WORRIED.
In GS 1, women space and time wala question, my introduction was
"Philosopher Aristotle confined women within the 4 walls of home. Unfortunately, even today, women face such injustice.
I just want to know whether using Aristotle will backfire or not ?
Should I be worried ?
Rest of the answer is really good but I am quite anxious about the introduction.
Please Help.
@RavsThis might sound like a cliched reply- It depends on the evaluator.
If you've refrained from making any 'non-GS' references in the body, it might just be excused. Given the vagueness of the question, I don't think it'd lead to examiner awarding less marks.
But, these kind of mistakes tend to create a certain bias in the mind of examiner while evaluating your answers. This bias could be pro-you or anti-you! It's always best to not reveal your subject expertise in GS answers even when the temptation is strong to do otherwise.
@Akkku
Thx bro and all the best for ur result too
I wrote just my inner feeling. if I get selected in UPSC then many myths about the exam will be end.
@azam-imame434you mean politician corporates and bureaucrats nexus right?
@Ravsye kya bhai koi current affairs ki intro toh manna
@HermioneGrangerI've seen her Anthro copies, they seemed to have a heavy tinge of sociology gyaan in them.
I seprately wrote about what is indian secularism, what is French secularism.
Later my answer was concentrated in BURKHA BAN in france, DEFAMATION OF PROPHET MOHAMMAD BY FRENCH MAGAZINE "CHARLIE HEBDO" and attack on CHARLIE HEBDO MAGAZINE by FUNDAMENTALIST AND RADICALISED YOUTH
what french could learn -
- Tolerance- all religion have given equal rights in india like hindu, Islam
- Equal rights to profess practic religion
- Wrote state can intervane in religion if fundamental rights are violated, and bring reforms in affected part. Example SABRIMALA Same France can learn to intervane in limited area like Burkha can be checked for security region but veiling the face to islamic women must be allowed.
Bhai yahi likha exact bus charlie hebdo ko 5-6 line me ek box me likha jisse example visible lage. ( Ye sab examples The hindu me aaye the past years me )
@DKTyhi 2 examples sabne likhe h..
@Dijkstraok thanks
@RavsEven I started this question with quote of Swami Vivekananda.
@Akkkuwow awesome
@azam-imame434shd hve written in english..baniya
@RavsDon't worry about intro too much..examiner reads whole answer word by word. Intro me aisa kuch controversial nhi h jo backfire kre. Question was quite subjective and there are multiple ways to approach it.
@vvvikas0078212i wrote art 78 instead of 76 in attorney generl ques first lone..hoga backfire?
@ranyo_asokaHaha. I wrote article 75. I am also hoping it won't backfire.
@K_9Bhai mere saath bhi aisa hi kuch hua but finally yaad aa gya....pehle 75 likha phir isme 89 add karke dekha to state ka article aaya to thoda doubt hua phir article 76 yaad aaya but cutting hui thodi...baaki dekho
@ranyo_asokabhai ye toh specific ho gya...
@KatsumotoB.A. ka paper hota toh examiner sochta cutting hui h toh jarur cheat kia hoga
