Mains 2019 Preparation and Discussion Thread
Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.
@Chanakyayupp it’s all about how you are justifying your Point; there is nothing absolute right or wrong in humanities like science or engineering subjects; ML did strengthened nationalist movement in khilafat phase and also weakened it post 1940 ; you need to gove proper justification and thats it
@sat_009yr after giving 4 upsc mains and same amount of pcs mains one thing i have realised that the examiner know how much is at stake for a candidate; as per my understanding i have secured marks in My koode se koode answers as well; I dont think anyone gets negative marks for any point in things as subjective as humanities
@ChanakyaI respect your opinion, and its valid too, but mentioning muslim league for voices which strengthened nationalist movement is still dicey imo.

Paika,Kittur,Polygar,Few tribals in central and East India like Ho,Kol,Munda,Santhal are rebellions!
@ManchesterUnitedI had already given big rebellions as subheading after mentioning small rebellions...but didn’t knew what to write so mentioned these...Some Nawab rebelled in Buxar,Mir Jafar I think

@sat_009muslim league maine likha nhi h, but kisi ne likha hai to sahi he hai, nationalism is very subjective term, it certainty had strengthened the nationalism in muslims

@TeddyWestsideone heading for leftists, communists and socialists and how they tried a radical overhaul by providing socio economic orientation to national movement. One for swarajists as to how they kept up the Constitutional side of struggle. One for revolutionaries who attempted fear psychosis and propaganda by deed. And one subeading for women with examples like Margaret cousins, lady mehrbai Tata and organisations started by them. On these lines.

toh shi ha na Young Muslim leaguers moved away from the narrow Aligarh school and took more interest in direct participation and cooperating with congress in political movement. Itna controversy kyu ho rha

@ajit_kdNationalism May be so. But when examiner asks nationalist movement( singular), it is Indian freedom struggle and core of this was Gandhian struggle. Baki interpretation toh kitne bhi ho skte h if u focus just on nationalism
