Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.

@Malcolmin other states and cities atleast people are well aware of civil services. There's a craze. Many people take the exam. Here most of my relatives keep wondering why, after a 5 year law degree, I remain still unemployed. hardly people know how difficult the exam is or how many stages it has!
@TeddyWestsidecongratulations.
@Shy_guyblock..ultimate solution
To everyone who is bothered by repeated questions of peers/parents/friends/relatives
I have just one tip for you:
Have confidence.
Not that you will clear it.
Just that you are chasing/chased what you want to do.
Answer with overwhelming confidence that you tried and could not clear (if you couldn't)
One of my friends once commented that "ab tum nahi kar sakte"
since I could not clear in 4 attempts.
I just asked him one thing:
"Tell me a single goal in your life that you have chased"
An awkward silence followed then
His reply was "I got married" (Sach ye tha k he loved someone else and married acc to his parents wish)
So it does not matter, and even if it does a little bit.
NEVER DESPAIR!!
Be so frigging PROUD of yourself that you tried something while so many among us are just dead fish flowing in the stream.
I have personally seen that when I reply confidently to people that "I am unemployed" stumps far more people positively than sheepishly saying "preparing for the upsc."
So just have confidence no matter whatever comes.
@MycroftHolmesyeah, wear all your attempts like medals.
In my case, i have kept my UPSC journey a secret. Only my family knows about it.
No relative, not even my best friend, no shit.

That's the spirit man. My best wishes to you.
Even i am not confident about this time but still, let's see.
Gotta make it in the next attempt.
@STsahi kaha bhai, the journey of upsc definitely teaches us one thing i.e being humble
My case is different altogether.
I have not said to anyone about what I m doing. Plus I have requested my parents also to observe silence. I m kind of living underground n have vanished from public space.
Benefit is that there is cushion for failure.
Negative is that it makes me complacent at times. I feel some pressure is must to drive you to success.
