Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.

@atuljihappened twice in 2016 and 17 ; in 16 missed by 15 marks and in 2017 missed by 8 marks;
Went literally numb after 2016 result; had decided to quit; but then after a week or so tried to analyse my mistakes and then started making notes of my optional (yupp had never took any optional classes or made any notes); post 2017 result I decided to skip next attempt ; joined the job and after 4-5 months took medical and joined optional classes (in my last attempt
)
The thing is there must have been some mistakes; we usually overlook them between post mains and result phase; post result after being in shock for 3-4 days you need to honestly analyse your performance and work on the mistakes !!

Sometimes calling spade a spade is warranted.
History is a continuous stream so events, time past n present r all related n can't b compartmentalized. So referring to other while talking about one is not whereaboutery. Had there been any outrage now if illegal immigration by bangladeshis, rohinguas were opposed earlier ??
If Gandhi n Nehru r the only 2 heroes of freedom struggle then who caised partition ?? Some ghost ?? Give credit to them but who will own blames ??
So please have broader perspective of things n events n think with calm nerves.

the mukhiya in one of my friend's village in bihar has terrorised the people there. the friend says that this mukhiya has won previous four local elections. he wins by very fine margin like 7 votes, 50, 80 votes. only once did he win by 700+ votes.
the most important detail is that he rigs one of the polling booths, which is located in his ward. during elections, the polling officers are satisfactorily paid and his family members, who abound, are present in the voting room. people fear for their well being and out of this fear, they vote for the mukhiya. in total, he rigs close to 500 votes.
in local elections, they still use the ballot paper, so muscle power and vote manipulation becomes easier to do. he has the required numbers in his family to intimidate anyone, and pays off the relevant authorities.
due to close to 20 years in power, he has amassed huge wealth, and has also cultivated a lot of connections to higher relevancies. his two sons are spoiled and debauched, rude and violent. they beat up anyone even without any reason.
if it helps in understanding their moral constitution, the mukhiya's wife had eloped with somebody in her pre-marriage days; the daughter and the elder son followed suit.
their association with studies is as far away as pakistan's dream of occupying kashmir.
for giving the genuine beneficiaries of social welfare programmes like pm awas yojana, kisan credit card etc their due, they take money, and even after that they don't give them their promised benefits.
people are afraid and scared. the friend says that the atmosphere of the area has degenerated. the mukhiya and his family dominates the village gossip, whether in homes or in public places.
he says it feels like living in jungle with a cruel lion at the helm. he is banking on clearing civil services so that he may restore normalcy.
