Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.

Today in UPSC attendance ; 2 computers are on , 13 tablets ON plus 43 people still there . What are they doing ???
Last time when computer was ON , we got NDA result
I really don't understand how n why people are co-relating cse results with number of active computers n attendance in UPSC office. You never know if some computers aren't switched off while employees left office (people just lock screen n leave at times). At times certain computers will have to be switched on for days to perform some system tasks.
About employees, we don't know if they are full time employees who work inside physical upsc office or remotely logged in because upsc will surely have some back end IT team who will have to maintain portal.
CSE is just an another exam for UPSC amongst many exams it conducts every year. We value cse more because we have written it. They wouldn't be keen to stay back in office just to declare our results faster.
They'll declare results when they are done with all the procedural
work.
Correct me if I'm wrong

@CaesarThey will ask what sort of books. Fiction/ non fiction. Why fiction or non fiction. Latest book you have read. Your favourite author? If Indian, then they may ask something related to him. Like if u say Arundhati Roy, they may ask about Naxal controversy. They usually don't go into literary aspect, unless koi literature vala na baitha ho. Baki risky to saari hobbies hi hai. You should prepare min 25-30 questions on each hobby you write.

Dude are you 100% sure that the attendance is based on biometric only ? I can't comment unless i know of it for sure. I know few civil servants personally who do not work from office but from house at times and still their attendance will be counted in the department. I don't know if it's something different for upsc.
Anyway, i really don't think employees stay back in a government office only to hurry up results declaration process of some exam. Come on dude, its just a routine work for employees there. Why will they be pressurized to do such a work. Even if people are present inside, it'll be for some other reason i feel.
It's better we carry on our daily tasks. When results come out, we'll some how get notified
@NadigVinayon a different note, I too know an AE in a dept, old recruit. Goes in morning, marks attendance, comes back home(walking dist), then goes in eveng to sign out.

@Caesarnot risky at all agar u hv read! jo genuine h wo chahe kucch bhi likhde, n fake likhne walo k lie risk hota h
@Caesarlol
i meant civil servants who don't work in office on some days but work from home.
Edited my comment later
@ajit_kdsome of the aspirants giving interview are exceptional readers, that makes me a little uncomfortable, but you are correct.
@Caesarthere is a timeline of any hobby, u can justify when u started, etc, hobby thing is just a starter point, to bring our temperature to room temp, but jo log jhuth likhte ye question unka propose solve nhi hone deta, unki heart beat aur bdh skti h
plus u can drive ur intrve in the way u want, otherwise chairman is ofcourse a good driver , he will drive ur intrvw, both ways are good, they just want to know something about you, if they can see an officer in you, nothing will matter !

have nothing else to say@Caesarbhai.
Let me explain what active devices in UPSC attendance dashboard means..
There are two kinds of Biometric Attendance System . one is tablet based and other is desktop based. The fingerprint device or IRIS device is attached to either tablet or desktop.
The active devices does not represent how many computers on in the Department. It represents how many BAS devices are on.BAS system is not having any connection with computers being on or off.
@NadigVinayAttendance is completely based on biometric only. Each employee will be provided with a 6 digit code which he needs to enter before giving his biometrics. Then only it will count as marked and will appear on dashboard.
One facility for employees is that they can mark their attendance from any other building where BAS is installed using their Id
On another different note Yeh jamia, jnu, jadhavpur, bhu ke students ko padhana nahi hota hai kya.Hamesha protests yahin hoti hain.Have never heard iit, iim,Hansraj, iiser,Nimhans or harish chandra institute students protesting.
Lagta hai jnu etc. Mein log netagiri karne aate hain padhne nahi..
Baaki colleges ki janta to 75 percent attendance, placement, marks aur projects mein hi lagi rehti hai..
@bevancomIIT Bombay and IIMA also protesting. Anti corruption protests ke time IITs me bhi hote the protest against congress government. During my time at IITK, there was protest for bringing Lokpal. IITK me media ban tha, but protest toh hua tha.
@vvvikas0078212Maybe I was ill informed as I was in school in class 12th in those times. But the level of protest in jnus and jamias is much higher than other colleges and they get more media coverage imo
