In Act no such religious persecution is mentioned as the basis for granting citizenship. In fact, Act ye "assume " krta hai ki persecution hua hai.
Religious persecution object and reasons me mention hai lekin clauses of Act me nhi.
2nd issue is clause 6B(3) -->this is discrimination on the basis of religion.
I think here we can apply" doctrine of colorable legislation".
Let's wait ... Supreme court decide kre ....we are here to discuss pros and cons of an Act.

It wouldn’t violate anything but expands the scope of citizenship act!
As far as wording absence goes Salvey said there is no hard and fast rule to mention everything in amendment per se!

Also, i think protest sirf Act ko lekar nhi hai NRC ki wajah se zyada hai.
Agar government announce kar de ki ther will be no NRC ...protest khatam ho jayega.
