Mains 2019 Preparation and Discussion Thread

@vvvikas0078212My writing style is so simple, this was one of the reason pointed out for my less marks in gs2. I tried to artificially include articles and cases in 2017 but it didnt actually pay off. Further, i relied on vision 365 without reading static stopics in syllabus which was a fault. This yr i tried to correct it, should see how it worked out.

@ManchesterUnitedthis is my third attempt and third mains.
Missed mains cutoff by a good 60 marks in first attempt (2017)
Cleared mains with less than 5 marks last time.
Problem is I was never good at anything..(my first attempt I sucked equally in all papers ..20-25 short in each paper)
second attempt..I worked on all papers equally and reduced that margin to 10-15 marks.

This time there is shortage of time... And papers are tricky ..so don't know how it went and what to expect. Gut feeling (right after exam ) is bit gloomy. My second attempt is my best and most prepared attempt. But couldn't convert it into marks.

I personally feel one should be exceptional in atleast 2-3 papers..to be in top ranks. Like people should score 140s in essay or 120 odd in ethics or 310 in optional. I need to still crack that magic formula.

So you are saying that problem begins only when drugs are started being over used. It is okay to use drugs for recreational purpose if used under control??

2017 mains gs paper plus essay was easier as compared to 18 and 19 this yr it was toughhest due to being lenghthy analytical and had to frame and for all questions in gs 3 and 2
uske upar se hmare centre pe 15 min light v gyi thi gs 2 me

@TETRACYCLINEok ok typs..last year k hisab se thik gya hai..paper 1 not so good..paper 2 achha tha..kuchh specific to nhi keh skta.. difficult to put a number..whats ur optional?

@Ithriveoncocainena bhai, not at all. What I was saying is that after a certain point there is no return, and all looks good in start but that point does come(or you need a lot of willpower to get out of it)
