[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

@neyawn sir and others, what is your take?

This is the official Thread for discussion of Prelims Postponement, Please do not create new threads for the same.

@Koro-Sensei You know, last year, under the illusion that I am some alpha, I did not practise a single question for the CSAT paper and failed to qualify even though I got through in GS.
Quants and Reasoning total I can do 15-20. My best bet would be Comprehension. if I can get 22 passages correct, I will sail through as quants and reasoning won't go wrong that much. So was just thinking of ways getting my passages correct a bit more.

Boss, this is scary to me, looks like I may go through the same. So putting out my fears here, I have solved only 3 CSAT PYQs 16, 17 , 19 and have scored 92-105 in all 3. Have practiced very very few other quant questions, have gone through some basic quant formulas. No LR practice, any suggestions for now? (And also I am also having variable hit ratios in comprehension, ranging from 22/24 to 17/24 approximately) Any suggestions ?

Do Questions repeat in CSAT ?Is there any benefit to do maths of papers 2017, 2018, 2019...if same type of questions/formulae are repating thn only there is benefit i guess

and I am  completely relying  on comprehension and reasoning.....maths is nt my cup of tea

is there any trick to find out easy maths question and do it correctly....sometimes quest appears to be tough but in reality it is very easy

Hello wonderful people just needed you honest suggestion :

I am 24 graduated from tier 3 university (B.a) failed last two attempt in prelims only by minor marks only and this year still I don't feel confidence because it seems I have not revised very well and I am.lagging behind . Although being a serious aspirant studied throughout the year but inner voice is telling the truth that your syllabus is not revised very well .

Being from.UP I have my uppsc pre on 11 Oct.and my inner instinct is telling that if you give 15 days to up pcs  you will qualify .

Being a jobless from humble background where no support system is there just wanted to ask should it would be wise to focus on uppcs  and prepare for Upsc 2021 with lesser stress as relief some family pressure .

Long story short I am confident for uppcs  2020 but not for Upsc 2020 .

Should I give uppcs  2020 with full dedication and then aim Upsc 2021 ....

Please help me out .

1-it is always a better strategy to focus on one exam at a time.

2-main question is "whether u r ready for UPSC mains bcoz clearing upsc pre only (without proper prep for mains will not do).... If answer is NO... then prep UPPCS whole heartedly as it is on easier side than UPSC (both at competition level, question paper level etc)

3--if u r confident about UPSC mains then u should go for UPSC pre also....

Solving maths questions of previous year will definitely help...... Some type of question are always there...... Percentage, profit /loss, lcm/hcf  type question are easy to solve.... Even if u solve 5/7 such easy questions in 15/20 min it will be helpful for you..

@Bawra man No dear only optional is complete with 60% and honestly I have not written a single essay .  in short mains is not done with command !!
Believe me for a candidate like me its a headache whenever I talk to my family because of financial constraints and other issue .
My heart is saying to give uppcs  diligently and then appear for Upsc 2021 which is just 8 months away .
With my preparation I can say that I can make it through uppsc  but not Upsc this year .
Living in Patel Nagar , delhi is already a high expense for me and I don't how to convince my short temper father that I am not appearing for Upsc 2020 after studying for whole year !!
Please help me out !!

@SergioRamos I have written some 4-5 csat paper of vision and forum scored on an avg of 95-102 I have a average of attending 52-55 question and getting 10 answer wrong! In csat 2018 also the hit ratio was same!

Should I solve more csat upsc or focus on paper 1?
