How was your paper? How did you approach the paper?
Hey guys, I'm late to the discussion party but felt like giving an update :p
Had really good hopes with GS (except ethics section A :p) and essay went fine too. But optional went equally down the hill to not even secure interview call. I've a science optional, knew how to derive and solve whatever asked in the paper. Couldn't attempt due to lack of practice to actually do it in exam.

GS essay went well. Optional not so good. Science optionals have the advantage/disadvantage that you know exactly how your paper went. No room for grace.
My Essay was on the better side although in the second essay I felt like maybe the flow was not that smooth.GS 1,2,3 went largely okay…gs3 had many yorkers in 10 markers but that’s the case for everyone so yeah…GS4 was decent too.Optional went actually better than my expectations but I’m not sure if it was good enough for healthy score of around 300 so let’s see what happens. I’ve tend to have an optimistic bias about my performance so I’m kind of skeptical too. I guess next few weeks will be like that only.

@Master didn't have enough time to finish the syllabus, despite giving 80-90% time between prelims and mains to Maths only. could not attempt 110 marks worth of optional paper as a result. Attempted what I had studied decently well.So, expecting a below average score overall.
300 plus club now seems a Ponzi scheme to me 😀 Few people got past that mark. And we the gullible people are lured to it. Understanding concepts and writing in the exam hall are two very different things even in Maths. Now things depend upon scaling. Let's see!
Even last year, I only saw Utkarsh Kumar cross the 300 barrier, the rest were in the 270-299 range. I scored 86, 89, 88, 101 in last Mains in GS (1st mains)... at that time.. i had not written a single test of any coaching just revising my e-notes multiple time... which I made during my preparation from Hindu, CA book, standard books, here and there. Completed all the Questions but did n't remind after that what i had written?These marks were above of my expectations
This time... revise from notes, wrote Forum tests... scored well there.. attend the questions on the merit.. break the question in parts as per demand and answered (IBC format) as per demand with relevant data, map, flow charts, committee etc. This time due to more consciousness, reminded of many answers.. and cursing my self for few answers (Those could be better attempted)
My Q is
is there any co-relation, that above exercise will led to more better marks than last mains ? can anyone share their experience.

If u hv completed questions on time i.e 7 minutes for 10 markers nd 10 for 15 markers then expect atleast 10 marks improvement in each paper (as per last year standard)

How much were you getting in forum mocks??
plmokn25688524,yes.. I did... attempted all... but in GS3 (WHO, Blue LED etc type.. just fillers in less time-- so this time saving was utilized for other Qs)
