Simulator 1, Q 22: it says Pandyas had a regular taxation system. Because of this question, I opened and  read the old NCERT for the first time ever & it indeed says this. (I am a graduate in history so I relied on my grad notes plus new ncerts) .

But acc to Upinder Singh , as well as NCERT (I’m not sure about which one because it’s in my notes), they didn’t have a regular taxation system, only a rudimentary one.

I know for a fact that UPSC picks up questions from Upinder Singh verbatim… so what should be relied on ?
